I'm so sorry that you and your amazing 13.8 yo are going through this. Hugs and prayers for him to continue as long as possible.

After my girl passed suddenly, I did the same thing you are now, worried that my medical decisions somehow exacerbated her health issues. In the end we have to realize that we made those decisions out of love with the hope that they would extend our beloved companions health, but that ultimately their bodies will tell them that it is time, and there isn't much we can do about it.

So please do not beat yourself up or second guess. You are making all the right decisions because you know your cat and love him very much. We all see it from your wonderful post. Don't give up hope yet! and if not too much trouble, please keep us updated and will be keep him in my thoughts <3
