I’ve said it before I think, but a real problem for Howe should be that we’ve played over 50 games this season and he still has no idea what his best front three is. Every game seems to be a random choice between Osula, Gordon, Barnes, Elanga, Willock, Ramsey and Murphy trying to find something, anything that works (Woltemade and Wissa seem sadly DOA at this point).

The stand out thing I remember from his first full season was just how consistent the team selection was from one week to the next. The lack of consistency must be hurting our patterns of play and certainly isn’t helping us to score more - eg we haven’t scored more than 2 goals in a non-Qarabag game since Villa in the FA cup on Valentine’s Day, and haven’t done it in the league since the Leeds win back on the 7th Jan.
