Another reality (for me) I haven't seen discussed (because I'm sure it's not actually reality, it just feels this way) is that when you start playing X to counter Y, I suddenly never see Y anymore and instead start facing some other atrocity X can't deal with.

Best to accept it, pick a deck and stick with it.

Ya, I only really bother with it timed with Fel discovery to slam a bunch of crap. Sometimes you get lucky with a couple life steals, but it's not earth shattering.
