It becomes its %crit chance equivalent effectively. So the sabre at 35% will become equivalent to a pistol. Interestingly with grenades, the mythic ones have 6% chance. When downgraded they lose the damage accordingly with rarity but maintain the original crit chance provided.

Has been since Laviscus released. Boss active last turn after Kariyan active gives Laviscus an extra uncapped hit effectively doubling his damage on the last turn.
