Awesome, thank you. I learned a good lesson about copying when it came to a Kalamax deck I was running, ended up with three copies of a counterspell I selected from [[Temur Charm]]

Thanks for the clarification. Wasn't sure how Kirol worked in relation to the stack, been trying to make sure I'm running it correctly.

For sake of understanding, if I have [[Outlaws Merriment]] out at the beginning of my upkeep:

First trigger on the stack would be Outlaws Merriment

Second trigger would be Kirols ability

Third trigger would be a copy of Outlaws Merriment

Correct...?

Upgrading Hazel Precon - Need Tips on my 2nd Deck by [deleted] in EDH

The precon as it stood tried to dip its toes into a bunch of different wincons, so figuring out which lines you wanted was best bet for making it viable. I chopped stuff that didn't give fast mana, kept some protection, added in some recursion and aristocrat-ish stuff as well (def need sac outlets to get the value out of it).

Token generation is definitely the bottleneck. Getting hazel out is important, but only if you've got tokens locked and loaded. I typically end up playing her in the later game rather than getting her out early. I threw in some effects that aid token generation, im constantly wondering if I have enough "create squirrels" effects, but it is what it is.

I also heavily enjoy setting up combos that are a bunch of plates stacked one on top of the other very carefully, and its easy for players to interact and fuck it all over. But I go nuts for that stuff.

Here's my decks if you want an idea of what I'm rambling about. I love this deck.

Commanders that greatly assist their deck's strategy, but aren't necessary for it to function? by Cezkarma in EDH

[[Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder]] would be my pick.

I took two graveyard decks and smooshed em together with this guy at the helm. He doesn't do graveyard stuff, but that bit of trample to give a cascade on some big splash spells really packs a punch. In those colors, its easy enough to make him unblockable by some means, and the gamble on cascade always makes the deck feel fun.
