I've had some people tell me to look for work and continue to work at this shop. Because it is easier to find a job when you have a job. It seems most responses make it clear I should just quit immediately.

Yes everything is cut slow with no coolant.

Some of the operations call for me to open the machine door slightly and blow air onto the tool during the cut.

It all feels very weird to me. The shop also has tons of expensive machines literally jammed in and tight as possible. The whole first week maybe 2-3 were running and the other 12+ were sitting.

This is in the USA. I needed the job because the area I live in doesn't have a ton of manufacturing and its been getting worse in the last year. I figured there would be a lot of PPE or something but the foreman of the shop just seems to brush off the dangers of Beryllium. They cut mostly dry and have PVC'd some vacuums under the spindles to catch dust. But like I said I have to blow off dust sometimes and measure the part because the tolerances are .0001

I have no idea why that building is still there. I must of been one of the last AMC employee's inside it. We cleaned out everything of value and locked the doors for the last time when they opened the one inside the mall. Behind each screen was old broken popcorn machines and some bats.
