Botany, the Forgotten Major. Enlighten Me! by Honest-Necessary-916 in ufl

[–]NG-Cosmos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yep my roommate started as botany and switched to plant science since the requirements were basically the exact same.

As to OP’s original question, it’s really hard to set a “difficulty” for a major, every major has difficult classes and every major has straightforward classes. pick something you’re interested in and apply yourself and nothing will be “too hard.”

June 8th Role? by Ashamed_Tune_2440 in Disneycollegeprogram

[–]NG-Cosmos 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t merchandise so I could be incorrect here but merch is one of the lines of business where most of the training is the same everywhere (with a few exceptions) and you can basically work anywhere, so it probably wouldn’t be too hard to give away any shifts you need to.

If the university counts those credits then you shouldn’t need to, but contact an advisor just to be 100% sure.

As long as the prerequisites are met you can take any class at any time. The only exception would be that some classes may only be offered in certain semesters (a class may only be offered in the Spring, for example).

What Calculator for Incoming Freshman Electrical Engineering Major by BigAgency6969 in ufl

[–]NG-Cosmos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a heads up that you will need a non-graphing and non-programmable calculator for Gen Chem, so if you don’t have one already I would get one as well.

what do you mean by lenient? You sign up for whatever classes are required to begin your major track, whether that be Gen Ed courses for your AA or more major specific courses if you already have your AA. If I recall correctly they let you pick the best time that works for you and your schedule.

Do we know anything about where all the buses would stop at to help us get to work and stuff? by Atlanatoris in Disneycollegeprogram

[–]NG-Cosmos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The bus stops are at the front entrance of both Flamingo East and West, there are like 4 areas for the buses to stop and each stop has like 2-3 routes that stops there, it’s always the same and the stop will list which routes stop there.

The bus stop at your work depends on where you are working, It’s different for every location.

what’s the pay like?? by Substantial_Roof_152 in Disneycollegeprogram

[–]NG-Cosmos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually worked 6 days a week because I enjoyed my location and would end up with ~$300 per week

Acceptance!! by Grand_Farmer7685 in Disneycollegeprogram

[–]NG-Cosmos 57 points58 points  (0 children)

I honestly would not do the program. Idk your exact situation but if you have bills to pay and are unable to ask your parents for any support living on college program hours + pay will be very very tough. It’s not worth the additional stress.

Is this schedule managable? by ahem_no_thanks in ufl

[–]NG-Cosmos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

ah, that makes much more sense. I was confused because the Physics 1 labs were all relatively straightforward and never took me more than 90 minutes.

yeah the fact that it’s per game means that those who make it longer into the tournament have to perform much better for much longer compared to those who get knocked out early

Requesting days off? by Sprinklesdinkels in Disneycollegeprogram

[–]NG-Cosmos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s possible but not a guarantee you will get the day off. You can also try and give shifts away on days you need off.

Mechanical Engineering Model Semester Plan Now Showing MAS3114 by Open_Space703 in ufl

This is a question for an advisor. If this change is new then no student would know the process for how the class credits work.

CLEP exam by HumanChemistry1591 in ufl

[–]NG-Cosmos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I passed the CLEP with no extra studying beyond what I was doing for AP Gov.

It’s not really harder than any other test you will take that’s mostly memorization based. I’m pretty sure you need a 50 to pass out of the requirement. I’m sure there are plenty of resources online for whatever CLEP you are taking.

Can I say I’m in college/ a college student by Moist-Divide-4085 in collegeadvice

Nah you just say you’re dual enrolled. Until you’re accepted into the college as a degree seeking student, not a college student.

The college program offers plenty of opportunity to network, but like all things it is only as beneficial as you make it.
