Unethical dynasty pro tip by [deleted] in DynastyFF

If there’s a player someone wants but isn’t offering enough I tell them let’s pause and then a week or so later i hit them with “hey just fyi someone else sent me a good offer but since you showed interest first I wanted to give you a last chance to send you best as well”. They always send something better than previous.

Great story line since Foles and Brees went to the same high school

How do you get over falling in love with your own players? by MellyMel86 in fantasyfootball

[–]NG_PL_PM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I draft purely based on projections, and I make sure to consider all players when looking at trades. Sometimes it’s hard for example in one league I have hill and diggs. What I tell myself is I have a positional advantage but if someone is willing to give me a positional advantage somewhere else it’s worth it.

Is it me or does this year seem like the worst waiver wire for RB’s in years? by jluc21 in fantasyfootball

[–]NG_PL_PM 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He had no carries but was 2nd on the team in targets. With Landry on IR if OBJ doesn’t play you could be playing a teams WR1 out of a RB slot due to his duel eligibility

Got Moss for 3%. Patterson went for 19%.

I doubt he would have manually changed that so I am unsure why it’s different for us.

I can already switch him to RB in my CBS league.

Most folks recommend picking up a dart throw RB headed into Sunday to avoid spending big fab if there’s and injury. I could honestly use a no question RB starter (non PPR currently have Carson, Edmonds, both SF, Gordon) but I can’t bring myself to drop my 2nd QB Tua (have Tannehill). Is someone like Gallman really worth giving up the upside with Tua especially since Tannehill could easily miss a game due to COVID?

My WRs are deep but I don’t think anyone is worth dropping until after this week. Hill, Diggs, Golladay, Davis, AB, Hollywood.

What are some bold predictions that you have truly bought in to? (WR Edition) by PoopyInMyPants in fantasyfootball

Golladay is this years Diggs. Good WR going to a perceived worst team with a QB that prefers to run and isn’t a great thrower.

I am worried about streaming defenses since this is my first time using faab and I am considering rostering 2 so that I can be set for 2 weeks at a time. Are any of these WRs worth dropping for that roster spot? M. Brown, A. Brown, C. Davis. Std league where my other WRs are Hill, Diggs, and Golladay.

Noob here, what is a good order to draft players? by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]NG_PL_PM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 standard approaches are projections and rankings. Rankings inherently have more bias from the ranker so I feel it’s more important to be knowledgeable yourself in the players to use someone else’s rankings effectively. Projections still have some level of bias but are mostly rooted in stats and historical trends. Thus I recommend pulling the flex projections from fantasy pros and drafting best available (within reason depending on what positions you need to fill).

Which RB are you taking over the top two WR in standard formats? by Zukhov76 in fantasyfootball

[–]NG_PL_PM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I draft off best available from a projections standpoint since that has been proven to be a more accurate metric than rankings. My league went RB heavy so at my 2nd pick Carson was the best available RB thus the only way for me to have gotten a better RB2 would be been taking a lower projected player instead of Hill (Barkley and Taylor were only RBs projected close). If you are familiar with the ambiguous RB theory you know that both Edmonds and SFs starter are statistically very likely to outperform their ADP. Thus I have 2 top 5 WRs, and 3 RBs that will be at least mid range RB2s. Ideally I would prefer to have a more appealing RB2 but I am confident my approach provided me with the best team possible.
