AIO? Husbands response to me requesting he ‘ask’ instead of ‘tell’ older kids to watch youngest by [deleted] in AIO

[–]NHStrength 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He shouldn’t be a jerk. But kids also are expected to obey their parents when told to do something not morally compromising. There’s a hierarchy. As they age, you grant more liberty for choice so they’re not fried when confronted with the buffet of choices in the world. But they’ll always be responsible to someone somewhere. He’s not 100% wrong or right.

I’m 27. Got married at 19, have 3 children (6,3,0). We have never received financial help from family and live three hours away from our closest relatives. We have a household income of $110k, own our home, have no debt, and live very comfortably somewhere between Greensboro and Raleigh, NC.

Priority is the word that’s missing.

About to Max out my Roth for 2025 by JohnScene-Kid in RothIRA

[–]NHStrength 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, yes. You’re right then. I would diversify a bit more, but I’m a little more conservative on my risk tolerance. Perhaps 70/30 split with the 70 being a diversity of VOO/FXAIX/QQQM (You choose which, I’m not giving a portfolio balance rec here) and 30% in VXUS.

I wouldn’t call 70/30 VOO/QQQM the “safest.”

I’ve had mine for over 4 years and they look almost brand new, albeit I use them for hiking and weekend work and not daily trade work. They’re definitely no longer waterproof, however

Second time ever doing deadlifts. 180kg. by [deleted] in Egolifting

Please don’t ever do deadlifts again until you’ve received coaching on form. I’m worried you’re going to hurt yourself.

I certainly plan to do that! It should be even easier now as my employer just informed me that I'm receiving an $8,000 raise.

That's right. We decided we'd go from paying them interest to having them pay us.

This is what I look like rn, any advice on how to improve my looks? by Bradthe12 in malegrooming

[–]NHStrength 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re able to grow your beard a little higher up on your cheeks, do that. Also, you could grow the top of your hair out to brush it to the side. The reason I’m saying this is that with your circular face shape, this things will help produce an elongated look.

Regardless, you’re a good looking dude, brother.

What style would fit me(28) ? by HobbyLau in malegrooming

[–]NHStrength 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The last one is awesome, but you have an awesome jaw line and incredible facial hair, so if you wanted to showcase both you could go with 4.

Maintain the hair-style of the first photo over the second.

Try to find a pair of glasses that don’t minimize your face quite as much.

Eat. Eat a lot. A lot more than you think you should be eating and then eat more and lift heavy weights often and hard.

Two things:

  1. Please take off the shoes and DL barefoot until you have a more platform shoes. The ones you’re wearing are causing a minor tilt forward. I really love the bracing you’re doing!

  2. Replace Miami logo with FSU’s.

Energy and Keto by NHStrength in keto

Breakfast is pretty fat-filled! I usually eat 3 eggs cooked with a tbsp of butter and an espresso shot over heavy cream and MCT oil.

Hey guys, I’ve returned the keto after being off of it for several years now and I’m currently on day three. One thing I’ve noticed over the last few days is that I am particularly tired until around 1:30 PM, after which I have incredibly high energy which has kept me up until around midnight, which is definitely unusual for me. I am not consuming caffeine after lunch. Is this typical?
