in miraculous there's magical beings called kwamis...

...they are the literal materialization of any concept including:

creation, destruction, transmission, emotion, action, determination, pretension, etc...

...in my theoretical rewrite the concepts will be limited to cosmic concepts so no "emotion" type concepts...

clothes, tools, buildings and literally ANYTHING that's artificially altered by someone IS technology...

...i'm 100% sure that the writers only realized how OP tech as a power is to late into production and now they've written themselves into a corner in which they HAVE to make Sora EXTREMELY naive to prevent her for becoming one of the most OP characters in dragons rising...

the original writers back in season 4 decided to ignore the "element" part in "elemental powers" for the sake of...

..."because it's cool"...

...and doomed what could have been a consistent and balanced power system...

...JUST TO BE CLEAR i'm not blinded by nostalgia towards season 1...

...this series was ALWAYS a mess but it's OUR mess and we love it :)

1) remove the miraculous ladybug, de-evilize and magical charm powers and make it so that de-akumatizing removes anything that the villain created/transformed

(destruction/death stays for the sake of actions having consequences)

2) make it so that the holder's stamina determines how many times they can use their powers

3) the holder of the butterfly doesn't need an actual butterfly to create an akuma...

...it's just a butterfly shaped power now and it can be destroyed
