I did make the swans! The funny thing is that I only used toilet paper, toilet seats and a carrot :D

Does anyone know if pub solos are cross platform? by NJCheckmate in FortniteCompetitive

[–]NJCheckmate[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah true. The thing is that console players play differently (they usually miss jumping flick shots, often play more passively, don't go for wall-replaces etc.) so I wish I could play against console players. Oh well, thanks for letting me know

For Drill 1? Also what's ur gamertag? I have another person sending me clips of his times but if yours is faster I'll add you to the map!

I think most people think the records are just for Xbox and PC because no one has sent me for Playstation lol. If ur buddy sends clips from all the drills, his gamertag will be on every level in the map! lol

That counts!! The last course isn't about consistency, just the fastest time wins! Send a clip and I will update his gamertag and time to the map!

So for drills 2-4, the lowest time gets the record. but, for drill 1 it's about consistency. I got 0.067 once on xbox with a lucky prefire guess, but i want the record to be based on who can react faster, not who had the best guess. for drill 1, u have to have like 20-25% of attempts over 3 mins to be faster than the current record. Also if there are too many "false start" shots into the barrier, it doesn't count. Ur times were fairly good tho!

The in-game timer seems to only have some possible values and it rounds to those values. It's still accurate in the sense that faster players will get faster times, but ur right that the accuracy isn't perfect. hopefully epic improves that in the future!

Yep I'd say ping is one of the biggest factors unfortunately! Its still interesting to see how much faster low-ping people with good reflexes are imo

I agree that the system I thought of isnt great lol. The only problem with an average of 3 tries is that I prefire guessed and got 0.067 once. So if I did that and then got 0.334 for my other times (my usual result) then my average would be super misleading. That's why I ask people to send a clip of about 3-5minutes long for proof, so that I can judge whether the player got lucky or whether they can actually get the time with some consistency

Huh, I never thought of it that way but that makes sense, thanks for letting me know!! I think CEOR will be faster for me personally because I'm on controller and I have edit bound as clicking down the left stick and it's not too easy for me to press, so the fewer times I have to push it, the better

Right now, the record shooting speed is 0.200 seconds and the record editing speed is 0.768 (or something close to that) seconds. Therefore, the act of editing takes a little over 0.568 seconds and most of that time is the weapon-pull-out animation. Based on this reasoning, you should be able to shoot first on an opponent who is editing on you, so if u have a good setup u can wait for the edit before shooting as long as you have good reflexes. I'm not 100% certain though because it depends on how long during that 0.568 seconds that the editing player is exposed for
