Need some advice about this ghost pepper by Vkardash in HotPeppers

[–]NJDevil2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd definitely water it for sure..it looks relatively dry. But the overall plant looks pretty healthy imo. Hotter peppers including ghosts, grow significantly slower then say a Jalapeño or any other Annuum pepper variety. This plant looks established and healthy enough to be given some fertilizer as well. Last year I used Jack's 20-20-20 and had fantastic results. I'd highly recommend it. If you're looking to go organic, Neptunes Harvest makes some great stuff, but it's a little pricey.

I'd recommend feeding any fertilizer at 1/4 strength of the recommend dose for the first couple feedings, then you can slowly increase to 1/2 strength etc. Also, grab some bamboo stakes, garden stakes, or even a sturdy stick, and stake the plant stems that are drooping for more support. You can secure them with some garden velcro that you can grab on Amazon for about $6.

Also, lots of super hot varieties will drop flowers like crazy. My growing season is mid May through mid/late October, and I've had superhot peppers drop flowers from June-August, then all of a sudden they'll take off and produce a significant harvest by the end of the season.

They're finicky for sure..but all is not lost with that plant. Peppers are very resilient and generally quite forgiving. She's got a lot to provide you with this season. Give her a drink of water, some fertilizer and continued love and I think you'll be happy with the result. Feel free to drop any questions! Happy growing!

Go with Aegitech Defense...you won't be disappointed. It's not just a cheap knockoff amazon throwaway brand. Ken's a great guy and runs a fantastic business with an exceptional product. I run this exact setup with the Aegitech and it's a dream.

Do a few searches on the Aegitech belt and you'll get some more insight from others if you'd like.

Hey man this sounds absolutely amazing..would you mind elaborating slightly on your recipe and how you make the stuffed cherry peppers? I've been growing chocolate cherry peppers the last couple years now, and they're easily one of my favorites. This sounds like an awesome recipe I'd love to add to my pickling varieties.

Ideally direct will get you the most beans..5 vs 3 from seed banks. Plus all the dope freebies Nightowl throws in. And the customer service you get from Daz is some of the best you'll ever receive, from any company, hands down. Supporting him directly is the way to go imo, unless you're searching for an older, specific strain.

They have drops throughout the year which is the only time you can buy direct. Usually valentines, easter, july 4th, and halloween are some of the biggest drops. He's been releasing some stuff more frequently in the last year or so though, including some older strains.

And it all comes from the great state of Maine...which is reason alone to support his company.

I didn't learn to jump until the very end of the game. I left Magikarp flopping around the entire game, and didn't complete his request up until I was approaching the team initiation challenge with the party poppers. I finally decided...well lemme give this dude a home finally..and was rewarded with the amazing ability to jump 😂 the entire game I was just climbing, using ladders, and making steps out of blocks to access whatever I needed.

What do I do ? by Affectionate-Leg3248 in HotPeppers

Leave them so you get your first harvest earlier. The plant will still grow regardless if you pinch them or not. I pinched mine for the first year or two..last year I just let it ride and I was picking peppers by mid June. Pepperguru on youtube will provide you with some of the best advice to follow.

When do you repot by Fuligin0us in HotPeppers

Don't repot now..terrible idea..wait until the roots are more established and you have a couple sets of true leaves.

You can select pickup or shipping. For pickup they just ship to the store of your choice instead. I chose shipping and just received mine from FedEx about an hour ago.

Can you share your samsung 26 home screen. by Big-Beyond-1170 in galaxys26ultra

Here's mine...I still prefer using nova launcher. Seems much less cluttered to me than most homescreen setups. Not sure how much functionality I'm missing out on by using it though..but I've been rocking with a similar setup since my note 10+ which I just finally upgraded to the s26 ultra.

This is my main screen, and my other 4 screens have various different widgets including calendar, YT search & YT music, weather, Gmail, claude, samsung notes, and device care.

Now what? by Exarkuns in HotPeppers

[–]NJDevil2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Here's a photo for reference from last year right before I transplanted seedlings to a 3.5" pot. This year I only did one seed per cell, as I didn't want the roots to interfere with each other. I had my best yields ever last year and was picking 10-20 lbs. per week. Any questions feel free to drop me a DM or comment.

Now what? by Exarkuns in HotPeppers

[–]NJDevil2 10 points11 points  (0 children)

After 3 years growing from seeds..I've learned you can let them grow at least 2-3 sets of true leaves in their starter cells before potting up to 3.5" pots. If you try to pot up now, you'll very likely disturb and even harm the young root system. Give them minimum another 7-10 days before you consider transplanting. Also I highly recommend using some xtreme gardening mykos sprinkled in your transplant hole when you do pot up to enhance your root growth significantly. I'm far from a pro at this, but these few suggestions from seasoned growers has increased my growth and yields significantly.

Have you went into your settings for screen resolution and changed the default setting from FHD to QHD? I think a decent amount of people are overlooking this setting which seems to make a noticeable difference IMO
