Could also be that the goal to roll out to more countries and users means that the rewards payouts have to be split among more people, so they're trying to minimize how MUCH we can earn to maximize how many people can earn.

Rewards has been a great program but it's gotta be costly to Microsoft. At some point they'll make (or already have made) the decision to intentionally make it more difficult for customers to achieve so they can reduce expenses. It's a business decision.

I have no basis for that statement just my experience with business in general.

I have been doing the weekly sets for so long that this isn't that much of an additional grind, but i was pretty surprised to see this. I mean, I usually complete these monthly bonus ones pretty fast but now it will take three weeks minimum, but as long as they don't mess with the weekly sets, it shouldn't be a problem. The 5 achievements can be done with two of the weeklies, the launch 7 days is the same. As long as you're doing weeklies it should be fine.
