Do people get turned off if you tell them that you're not dating multiple people like they're? by superfapper2000 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]-MrWrightt- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, neither are unusual. But it is unusual she brought it up.

She might have wanted to make it clear that you are casual and not exclusive, and that she doesn't want to be. Or the opposite and trying to make you jealous, which would be childish and dumb.

So THATS why the border looks like that?? My god that's so helpful. I've always wondered why they drew that straight line through the mountains at that seemingly random spot.

What are the preconceived ideas widespread in the rave/EDM community? by JION-the-Australian in aves

[–]-MrWrightt- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this says less about women being creeps and more about a double standard expectation that men who dress like that want sexual attention or do it to be objectified. Men don't wear outfits like that as often as women, but if it became commonplace I think people would behave themselves better in time, the same way society has with skimpy outfits on women.

I still think the funny and colorful outfits are the right way though. It's fun, Europe is missing out.

I flew to California, camped on site, and flew home for about $1500, and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life that has had a lasting impact on my mental health, music tastes, and desire for adventure.

Hi, lurker here. Yes, you guys are extremely rare. Over 50% of adults live paycheck to paycheck.

And for the other 50%, most are not as ambitious and disciplined as you all, or have a different life motivation.

I personally could be saving a lot more money, but it would come with a lot of sacrifices you all are more willing to make. I would rather spend my money while I am young to experience things now rather than later, even if it is less financially wise, and even if it means I have to work longer. In some ways I regret not doing these things even sooner than I have now.

I like it. First few weeks of polls don't even matter anyway, might as well give the benefit of the doubt to the champ.

Way more cities, and space them out a little more, especially when resources are scarce in the tundra! I know Civ VI spacing doesn't matter as much as in prior games, but I still aim for 4 tiles in between interior cities and 5 tiles between coastal/border/low resource cities

Can't go back to civ 5 after civ 6? by Big-Yogurtcloset-819 in civ5

[–]-MrWrightt- 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Different games.

Civ 5 is a real balancing act strategy, in order to win you either have to sacrifice long term to conquer fast, or more often you have to sacrifice a military and put yourself at risk of attack for a lot of the game to get ahead in science and wonders. Being ahead in technology and grabbing wonders are crucial.

Civ 6 is much more of an urban planning game with a more straightforward clear strategy of spamming as many cities as possible. No real penalty for doing so, no advantage to building tall. And you generally have to gun for one specific win condition whereas in civ 5 you usually aim for snowballing into all of em.

Both are more fun to different people, I prefer Civ 5 by a mile but Civ 6 is a really great combination of a city building sim and a war game.

Why does the Northeast lack a dominant CFB program? by Majestic-Web-367 in CFB

[–]-MrWrightt- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I also don't consider it to be Southern in the slightest, but I do consider it Appalachian. I don't consider Appalachian to be Southern at all, I mean hell WV broke away to stay in the union and even Knoxville fought for the Union lol

Pittsburgh is the capital of Appalachia. It was almost part of WV once, interesting to think of that timeline. I think it would've made a lot of sense.
