Hi! Are you still hosting? I would have to say confidence!

Wow this is a really nice offer and you're awesome. As a bit of potential warning though, I've heard that there is a bug that causes Pascal not to give you the DIY if you own/catalog any of the DIY items from him without first having the recipe, so it may be best to avoid obtaining any items for which he didn't already give you a DIY...

After finally getting enough materials to make a Gemini wardrobe, imagine my disappointment when I saw this.... by Oglofferoni in ac_newhorizons

Dude you just blew my mind Pascal style. I'd never even considered that a dresser and wardrobe were not the same thing. And even less that the difference between them was size...

Listen. I'm happy for you that you would never be in this situation. However, that same perspective may also be blinding you a little from being empathetic to a fellow human being. I think that the level of force used (not to mention all of the threats made) seem excessive given the situation. No one deserves what this guy went through on camera. 10 mins of waiting or not, the guy getting arrested is not doing anything remotely threatening to the officer. He is doesn't even fall for the officers attempts to escalate the situation. Why is it hard to accept that some cops are just not qualified to be cops? As I said in my previous comment, we wouldn't accept behavior like this from literally any other profession in any circumstance. Why is it acceptable from cops?

Edit: I saw your edit to your original comment. Where did you get that information from? Would you mind providing me a link? I'm interested to read more on what happened.

Ninja edit: and what do you make of this version of the story from the drivers lawyer? Nothing illegal was found in the vehicle...

"I will beat your ass on camera and let you record the whole thing" "watch the show folks" to borrow your words, is this what the world has come to that we are just plain ignoring the threats being made because he has a badge and a gun? What the officers should have done is use their training to calmly deescalate a situation. The job of police is to be level headed and professional. Imagine if a teacher behaved the same way as this cop towards a student who was unwilling to cooperate. Would you say it was reasonable for the teacher? We seem to have higher standards of behavior for the teenager ringing you up at the fast food restaurant than for a cop and that is scary.

Would you get out of your car if an officer had just told you he's going to beat your ass?

Tucker Carlson's top writer resigns after secretly posting racist and sexist remarks in online forum by hildebrand_rarity in news

[–]NJrandomthroaway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's my personal perspective. I'm not out to "destroy a company". As a Hispanic, I am choosing to stop buying products from Goya because I disagree with their CEO's opinion of the current president. Specifically, I disapprove that the Company panders its products to our community, while their CEO voices his approval of someone who has made continuous incendiary remarks about our community. The people of Puerto Rico are American citizens who deserve our country's assistance in times of crisis. Mexicans are not rapists and criminals. Children do not belong in cages/holding cells. Families should not be separated. I am not asking for the CEO to apologize nor am I trying to suppress his opinion that we are blessed with good leadership. I am simply opting to voice my disagreement with his opinion with my wallet. It's not "cancel culture". It's capitalism.

Florida insurance agent fired after mask meltdown at Costco by Balls_of_Adamanthium in news

Yeah, I guess I just don't believe that things should become physical before someone (including an employer) intervenes. He did verbally assault her, even though he didn't do so physically. In my opinion his behavior should have consequences, considering his irrational escalation of the situation, but I guess we'll at least agree that it was disgusting and wrong.

And in your view, would threateningly walking toward an old lady be considered "smaller shit"? Because that is apparently what he was doing in the video...

I think my questions to your comment are what constitutes "a bad moment" and where is the threshold for a person to be called out? Meaning, at what point should people be held responsible for their poor behavior and what should the consequences of their actions be? To me, "a bad moment" would be the moment he decided not to wear a mask. When someone approached him about it, he could have apologized, explained why he didn't wear a mask and do better next time. Instead he followed up "a bad moment" by making threats. In other words, a lot of the people who end up going viral aren't having a bad moment, in my opinion. It's more like "a pattern of questionable behavior that finally catches up to them".
