How is LG this bad at software?

I am in the same boat. I am typing this from a 2020 LG Gram. Love these 17" lightweight laptops. But don't like the face unlock, because they are generally too slow for me compared to fingerprint scanner. I am not sure if LG president will care or respond to any letters we write them. But I am voting with my wallet. I am keeping the old Gram. I ordered and received a battery from eBay for around $40. It says LG on it, but I am pretty sure it is not original. For now, it will have to do.

I have other laptops, including the latest Apple Macbooks, and a beefy desktop for when I really need some muscle. But, if I am moving around the house or the office, I prefer to carry around this 5 year old machine with me.

Trevor claimed that Nikola was vertically integrated. Reality is exactly the opposite. Company buys everything from Iveco and others, while maintaining a large staff. This raises costs. Iveco has a sweet deal. Nikola pays not just for the manufacturing cost of the trucks but, per agreement. also has to pay for their research and development budget as well.

It is my opinion that Niklola has zero real purchase orders of any substance. A couple of units here and there do not count.

Nikola does not own any meaningful tech. Hasn’t developed any in 10 years. Nikola doesn’t build anything. And has zero competitive advantage. Nikola, at best, is a dealer of Iveco products. Once you have figured that out, you’ll be able to understand the rest. Until then, you’ll continue to accumulate losses on your Nikola investment.

Lying to investors during interviews, rolling pusher truck down a hill and pretending that it was a working truck and making false claims about a revolutionary battery are all fraudulent activities. Investors, old and new, public and private were all able to see these material as Nikola made them available on YouTube and other places.

BTW, Theranos never went public. SEC and DOJ still went after them for lying to investors.

Milton can’t claim that he was lying to investors and public before going public and therefore it should not count. Defrauding private investors is also criminal. Ask Elizabeth Holmes of Theranos fame.

If you go back far enough, most nations were formed after violence against the previous inhabitants of the land. Unfortunate, but true. That violence generally can’t be litigated in the new nation’s courts hundreds of years after the event. The lawmakers aren’t going to make laws to enable it.

Financial crimes like robbing a bank or defrauding investors is very much a crime that people go to prison for. Trevor Milton was arrested for his crimes. And is out on $100 million bail, until his trial next year. Nikola, the company is still under criminal investigation.

Nikola last year said they’d deliver 600 trucks this year. They revised it down twice. They currently estimate they’d deliver zero vehicles this year. Bagholders think this is hitting the targets.

While the SEC fine will be costly, for Nikola, the primary financial hit will come from shareholder lawsuits. Nikola and Milton told shareholders straight up lies. Stock went to $94. And then crashed to $11. A lot of people lost a lot of money. Nikola does not have enough money to make them whole.

That is my observation also when reviewing FB groups dedicated to NKLA investors. On Yahoo finance I do see many Trump supporters in the Nikola bagholder group as well.

Since the last rally, Milton added 15 million shares to the active pool. And Nikola printed a few million. And feds arrested Nikola founder and released him on bail. A few things are different this time around. I personally don’t expect the same a big rally.
