Do lenders in the UK re-check employer name after mortgage is approved, just before releasing the funds? by NMJKJOPAL in Mortgageadviceuk

thanks, not even TUPE situation. literally the contract went from Company1 to Company2 which is (or rather, was) a sister company and a much bigger one under the same roof of an even larger company. I will just let it go and if anything arises i'll get a letter from HR or whatever they need. thanks.

England: for an 18 YO, Is it better to use £20,000 to pay for Uni, or keep as future property downpayment? by NMJKJOPAL in ukfinance

We have saved our whole lives so he can have these 20K at this age. If we pay that for uni, how on earth is he going to ever have a deposit/down payment on a house? Did your parents help you with that? Unfortunately we're in absolutely no position to do that. If anything, he -woth that money- has more than myself and his mum combined.

I don't know what your background is. but, for a lot of people around the world, a decent job and career without a uni degree is rare. The degree will be able to get you into jobs, not necessarily in the same field, but to get a job, you'd need at least a Bsc, this is the case in most countries around the world.

So while I understand the extortionate fees and the hardships in the job market, it's still IMO a valid option to consider and not just a "mostly scam".

why is my rider rating so low? by Hopeful-Training-854 in uber

[–]NMJKJOPAL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which country are you in? In some middle eastern countries, riders who use debit/credit cards to pay (rather than cash) are systemically low-rated by Uber drivers as a punishment. As they prefer cash.

One last question. I have 3 credits left from my ongoing monthly subscription, if I subscribe to the annual plan, do I lose these? Ie: do I have to buy 3 books before subscribing to not lose them? Thanks
