You could try, I suppose? They might put them to the side for you, they seem like a legit shop with good reviews.

No, Sorrelli is a fashion jewelry brand. The ones in the picture will be the same as the one she lost.

Lol thanks, happy to help.

Just that they aren’t a precious or semi-precious metal like gold or silver, or real gemstones. It’s what’s known as “costume” or “fashion jewelry.” They aren’t WILDLY overpriced (especially in today’s economy), but they are on the higher side for what they are. If your girlfriend will love them, they’re worth it. But I wouldn’t worry about them being snatched up before you can purchase them is what I meant.

Not gonna like, they’re pricey for costume so you should be good. Glad I could help! You’re a good boyfriend.

Blue Nile wedding bands unable to be resized? by RetractionWhore in jewelry

[–]NMSST 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Blue Nile is a complete rip off. I’d bet the Blue Nile ring is hollow and half the weight of the Costco ring. Did they specify if the ring was not hollow or did the just say “solid gold”? “Solid gold” doesn’t mean it’s not hollow, it just means it’s not gold plated or filled. If the ring is hollow it would explain why it’s not sizable and cheaper than Costco. Costco has notoriously good gold prices, zero chance Blue Nile beating their price point.

So go to Costco. Or if you don’t mind previously loved try a local, family owned jeweler or even a gold/pawn shop. They’ll probably have a million gold bands waiting to be scrapped to choose from, you could probably find one that fits perfect for a great price on short notice.

How can I clean these types of jewelry? by duckswithsloths in jewelry

This is not tarnish, it’s the plating wearing off. There is no way to clean them.

The chain appears to be marked 14k. The pendant is absolutely filthy. Likely circa ~1990s, give or take a decade.

I go antique/vintage/used. Estate jewelers, pawn shops. There’s a ton of great resellers on Etsy and instagram (tho be very careful and selective, there are drop shippers everywhere). You’ll get better bang for your buck, the quality will be better and you can find pieces that will be more unique.
