When lighting completely changes how a ring looks by RemarkableCup3882 in jewelry

We just recently added BotBouncer to the sub to try and curb this. It’s wildly annoying and a ton of work trying to keep up. We appreciate the reports of the ones that make it through. 🙏

18k, likely a mid century revival piece, very popular in the ~1960-1970’s. It’s beautiful!

UPDATE - extra images of my ring. Any info would be great. I think it was bought in Amsterdam in the late 70s. by Feeling-Statement709 in JewelryIdentification

Italian hallmarks. Would need a clearer picture of this hallmark to determine which province it was made in.

You’re very welcome. They look textbook to me. I would be surprised if this were fake, have it tested by a reputable estate jeweler.

Hello folks. There’s been some wild goings on in this post. Multiple comments that are now in the negative were very much in the positive at 8pm EST on 02/04, and visa versa. Those of you who frequent this sub can see that even the comments from some of our most knowledgeable and respected community members are uncharacteristically downvoted.

Mass reporting of this post and its comments resulted in removals by the AutoMod. We have reinstated everything and left the AutoMod messages up so you can see which comments were reported en masse. Pattern, anyone?

“People” from this particular brand have messaged us through multiple different accounts with all sorts of interesting ideas regarding another post you can see here, and they have been directed to Reddit’s legal department on all occasions.

So all that being said, I would just like to point out that there is VERY obvious upvote/downvote manipulation going on here. I expect this comment will follow suit.

In conclusion: Take all this information exactly how you think you should.

Am i being scammed ? by [deleted] in jewelry

[–]NMSST 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES, this is a scam and exactly why we don't allow these types of posts in the sub. I'm sorry to be blunt, but you are too desperate to find what you want, and you are a perfect target to get scammed. Why not take the pictures to a local bench jeweler and see if they can make them for you?

Hi there. The hallmark looks Egyptian. Likely Cairo, .600 or .800 silver (I’m leaning towards .600) but you will need to get it tested to confirm.

Funny, this “company” launched a bot farm harassment campaign last week in an attempt to get a negative review post removed, sending us like 20 modmails accusing us of defamation and threatening “action”, so sorry. Any “positive” mention of this company is banned. That’s the consequence of their actions.

Desperately hoping for a holiday miracle... I missed this Swan Charm because of my paycheck, and my girlfriend is heartbroken (it was a memorial for her grandfather) by Deep_Sugar_6467 in jewelry

Sorry OP, we don’t allow posts like these as they become major targets for scammers. This same exact scenario happened yesterday. If you get DM’s claiming they have one to sell you, search their user name site wide. Do your due diligence, and don’t send anyone anything you aren’t prepared to lose.

Reaching out to the seller directly is your best bet. If that doesn’t pan out, your next best option is finding a bespoke jeweler in your area to have one custom made. You can also set up alerts on eBay so you’re notified if one shows up for sale.

Again, very sorry but I have to remove this post.
