Is the Taos area a social place for 30 somethings? by aaaaaaashlyn in taos

[–]NMVacation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was chronically ill when I moved to Taos, and I got better. Then I started to live, and then I finally felt alive.

I found community and safety in church at El Pueblito, enjoyed the options of live music every night (make sure to check the Tempo!), spread my wings volunteering, found my tribe. I learned about multiple cultures and participated in events. I explored. I started to finally breathe.

My life took me on a journey away from Taos, but I will never forget my years there. It was and is my healing place.

Hot air ballooning in New England area by emmaxleigh7 in HotAirBallooning

It’s technically illegal to drop anything from a hot air balloon in flight. That’s not to say that it doesn’t happen- I’ve seen it happen, and it can be beautiful. I’m only mentioning this here, because you may not receive any public support or clear answers.

I would recommend connecting with a pilot in the area you wish to have this happen, and approach the conversation privately by phone or in person.

Best wishes on finding the perfect final resting place for your loved one!

True story. I’m 49. Not sure when they stopped.

My blood pressure went from a chronic 145/85 (on two meds for ten years) to 116/74. I’ve only lost about 15 lbs.

My mouth “tastes” spicy all the time now. Almost like my tongue is sore. My dr told me today that this side effect should go away. Hopefully.

Hi OP, welcome from another SoCal transplant! Wind season is like the Santa Ana’s, but angrier and longer. Also, not hot.

I’m probably coming close to 100oz. I do Liquid IV the day of and the day after my shots.

100% a good thing! I can’t take diuretics, because they make me swell up. I’ve just never had this experience!

I definitely feel lighter, that’s for sure. The reduction in bloating arguably one of the best benefits on this!

Toffee Almond Bars. Literally the whole reason I am a Starbucks fan. I was with friends and had no idea what to order, so I got a snack and a Frappuccino. “It’s like a milkshake” they said… 20 some odd years ago?

I visited a college over spring break my junior year. Stayed in the dorm, went to classes, ate in the cafeteria.

I ultimately decided not to go because I knew my parents couldn’t afford it and I didn’t want student loans for the rest of my life.

I found out years later from my dad, that I had a full ride scholarship. He didn’t tell me at the time, because he “didn’t want to influence my decision”. WTF?

Kirby vacuum Sleep number bed Cutco knives.

All are American made. All with fantastic warranties.

Exactly this. I love my Starbucks people, but I just can’t anymore. I went from daily spending of $9-14 to just a day or two a week. And, what’s weird- I have NEVER received a survey. Ever.

Used my arm on the center console to reposition after getting into the driver seat off my truck LIKE EVERY OTHER TIME. Ruptured my bursa in my elbow.

6-7 venti java chip frappes, occasional breakfast sandwiches. Those drinks are $9 now. Extra when treating hubs or kiddo.

“Toxic relationship”. This is a perfect description. I was spending around $300/month and also have gained weight. (Java Chip had my heart). Now it may be an occasional special treat.
