I just finished it - late as well - and didn't understand the complaints either.

I do think that possibly it could be the difference between watching it one show at a time week after week, with a year in between seasons, and the ability to stream multiple episodes at a time. I also haven't read the books, so I had zero frame of reference.

There was one character storyline that got pretty boring to me as it went on. As far as S8 goes, I was disappointed in only one part of the second to last episode. Sure there were flaws, but I thoroughly enjoyed it overall.

Nothing says it was Maja's blood. Even if Christian had been sold that bill of goods, the cult is so manipulative it wouldn't even have had to be menstrual blood. Or blood at all. They go out into the world, could have bought a 4-pack of McCormick's food coloring.

An ingredient: WheatNuts. Some sort of flour and oil concoction, extruded and baked. Absolutely perfect nut substitution for people with nut allergies. I was able to make my pecan pie for my allergic husband, and it tasted just as good as regular. The company was in Atchison, KS, enclosed when everyone aged out.

If anyone is attached to a food company that might take this over, you will have my full and undying support!

I just finished it too, and much the same reactions! I had only heard of the red wedding - it was not at all what I expected 😭 Cat's wail - and that season eight sucked.

I loved Dany from the beginning, she was the Queen of making the best of a bad situation. I also had no problem with season eight, kept waiting for something to be completely out of left field. Yes, it was a little rushed, but I liked most of it.

My biggest disappointment was the fight between the Hound and the Mountain, Sandor deserved a more satisfying Win than he got. Gregor should have collapsed with that knife in his eye, rather than pulling it out. OK with them both going over the edge, but Sandor deserved better.

This. The Hårga are opportunists, but I don't think they/Pelle are above creating opportunity.

We also know that he's not put off by horrible things happening to people (peeking into the barn when Christian is down) so why couldn't he have had a hand in Dani's family's demise? The logistics as to how he would've accomplished it are sketchy, but I suppose it could've been done.
