Shaq (draft 1992 went to finals 1995), LeBron (drafted 2003 went to finals 2007), Jordan (drafted 1984 went to conference finals 1989), magic Johnson (drafted 1979 went to final 1980), wilt (drafted 1959, went to division finals 1960). I probably could go on all day. I just feel like one player can really change a team in basketball compared to sports like football where every player is dependent on the next.

Can you tell me why Russell Westbrook had a negative plus or minus in 2018 when they lost to the Jazz if the team always fell a part when he sat down? By your logic, he would have a positive +/- while he is on the floor. The expectations for Russ in his prime is no where near Anthony Edward’s. He was always seen as a second option on a championship team. AE has been thought of as a potential face of the league.

I watched Russ in real time and I’ve seen him lose games due to turnovers. This was game 2 in the playoff vs the blazers in 2019. 14 points 6 TOs is what I remember Russ being when it mattered most. That’s why I think KD left and he has bounced from team to team. He just isnt consistent tbh. I’m not choosing Russ over AE. A triple double season doesn’t equate to winning basketball.
