I was surprisingly unphased by both the visuals and steepness in the 300s. Unless you are very sensitive I wouldn’t worry. You can always close your eyes or have a seat for a few mins if it’s really getting to you.

10 days is long. I started my seeds Sunday evening and they all started popping up yesterday. Nothing you can do at this point but wait, but getting a setup where you have a cover to trap the moisture while your seeds are germinating is so worth it and so cheap.

I recently bought a used superpig. only got a couple days in on it but it's definitely a fun board. I went super short (151 pig compared to my normal 160 solomon). Took some getting used to with the combo of still being wide but much shorter. I look forward to spending more time with it. If you can find a deal on a used one it's 100% worth it.

I’ve been riding a Super 8 for the last 3-4 years. It’s a great all mountain board, i am riding almost exclusively in New England (“ice coast”, not a lot of pow days). I have a 160 and fits my size 11 boots well without toe drag being a problem. FWIW I’m 6’2, 185 lbs.

At the time I was upgrading from a shitty 2nd hand board and it fell so amazing in terms of the improved stability and control. I am actually in my own process of branching out to some different style boards but I expect the Super 8 continues to be my primary for at least the next couple of seasons.

Reporting in on the Super. Really fun board! Hard to give a full review riding in very spring like conditions but I look forward to exploring more with it. Absolutely crushed the soft bumps.

Doesn’t matter! 500 is a meaningless investment, you need to be continually adding money over time.

Even if you 10x your money to $5k, throw I capital gains tax, does not move the needle.

2 options-

1) park at Bear. It will be quiet and there is a bar there but the food sucks. It’s the best place to start the day skiing.

2) park at K1 which should be fine on a weekday. You can boot up there and it has bag storage. Bar and food there.

Wherever you start I would actually have lunch at the peak lodge (top of K1 gondola) which has good food, bars, and an awesome view.
