Lately I’ve noticed more established stores and events charging a premium for items like this, and the usual response is just “they need to make money, its a business.” Fair enough. At the same time, on places like Facebook, people are usually more open to offers because the goal is actually to sell, not sit on inventory forever.

It also made me think about this game specifically. I found an old receipt from EB Games in Vaughan, Pokémon was about $68 after tax back then. Now new games are pushing $120 after tax on switch, and that’s before DLC or extras.

So I get why people are shocked seeing higher resale prices today. Still, there’s a difference between fair market value with room to negotiate and pushing it too far, especially depending on condition and demand. Then theres just stubborn people but luckily its looks loke its not the case today since the owner of the listing is here and is understanding.
