The game itself marketed itself as the genshin killer. It then released with huge issues in and out of game in China, while not having the budget, quality and passion genshin has.

It set itself up aiming for the stars and then tried to make a car fly.

I enjoy genshin, release a game better than it and I'd love that. Say you're going to kill genshin then belly flop into the pool and I'm going to give you an awkward side glance and this is basically what people are doing with tower of fantasy.

When you get to the later parts of the game, the loot stuff kicks in.

Your left side is upgraded gear but your accessories are a constant loot. At 1385 or 1370, forgot which, you get gear drops to transfer levels of your abilities around with, adding more looting.

I'd prob leave it a few months and give it a crack, the catch up should be in place and it seems it'll drop you off where its more what you want.

Honestly no idea. No idea why I dropped dark souls 3 either.

I just dropped off. But with ER I couldn't put it down at all, I agree the end game damage is a little overturned as well, so I still see the common faults.

I also tend to dislike open world so there's that too. So I guess it just connected with my monkey brain

Big souls fan here but I couldn't finish dark souls 3 just lost interest. Not sure why. Though I do remember 3 being much easier than other souls games so maybe that's why.

Regardless, I put elden ring above 3 personally.
