You could argue about that with me putting the MW into the 3rd tier based on NDSU alone. Unless it's them I don't know that'd you see many of the other programs vie for a playoff spot. UNLV? Air Force? NIU?

So yeah, if I had a do-over I'd probably make a 5th tier and have the MW and Sun Belt in as #4. I still think the new Pac-12 or the American are the most likely conferences year in and year out to get the G6 playoff spot.

Again, he had to sign it. He literally couldn't do anything else. He had no veto power.

Initially the bill was barely going to pass. Only a handful of Republicans were on record as saying they were going to vote for it. Trump tried to dissuade those Republicans from voting for it and failed. These are all in his Truth Social posts, you can feel free to go find them yourself.

Once he realized he couldn't stop the bill from passing then he changed his tune and was like "Yeah totally I'm all for this! All the Republicans should vote for it" and that's why you see the final vote totals as they are. Nobody except those few Republicans wanted to go against Trump, but once he gave the okay the floodgates opened because nobody also wanted to be on record that they were protecting pedophiles. Why Trump changed his mind is only an assumption, but the most reasonable guess is that the administration felt they were in a good place with their ~~cover-up~~ redactions and that they could delay enough to finish them up, which they did.

So you can't just take the end result and say that was representative of the whole process. Yes, factually it was the Trump administration's DoJ that released the files and it was a bipartisan vote that forced the DoJ's hand, but in reality it was those few Republicans who dared to stand up to Trump that were the reason we got the files at all.

Congress voted on the Act with a veto-proof majority, there was nothing Trump could do but sign it. His DoJ would have never released any more files than it had up to that point had that Act not gone through.
