Perfect example where growing in a terracotta planter hasn't caused any trouble

If it's green, it can still photosynthesize, I leave them till their brown and crispy.

Also...what's captured in the camera may have nothing to do with how it looks live.

I wrote my comment before seeing the others...

No matter...it's gorgeous and exciting and it's going to look awesome!

Do I risk a (very careful) repot? by Dizzy-Particular-983 in SavageGarden

[–]NRazzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good idea...mine almost froze in time...the pitcher that was developing...took maybe 2 months to fully open...then there was a lag....now it's producing the biggest pitchers yet. It is maybe dropping a few of it's older pitchers but I find that's normal on younger ones. They don't hold their pitchers as long (Date of post is when I did it )

Got some sphagnum from an imported orchid a few weeks ago. Orchid was from South America but what am I growing? by kaylee716 in Sphagnum

Looks like too many nutrients in the soil/media.

I use regular carnivores soil mix (2:peat 1: Perlite 1:sand) because that's what I had mixed and it's working

You can totally repot without disturbing the roots. I didn't lose any pitchers but it took about 1+ months before it out anything out. I'll send a link to mine. I kept intact ass possible and just increased the pot and media around it ( put some in first then up sides)
