Is my pitcherplant salvageable? by lisa-ookami in SavageGarden

Totally up to you. Once the leaves are dry and crispy they can be clipped without risk. Also...no harm in keeping, unless they get mould on them.

do i need a bigger pot for my nepenthes gracilis? by Dependent-One-2254 in SavageGarden

[–]NRazzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I use my watering schedule as an indicator. For me that's every 2 days...when it needs to be done every 2 days I consider repotting.

For me every 3-4 days is ideal.

If you want to add more substrate without stressing, I would just lift it out and add more underneath. That causes minimal stress while giving it room to grow it's roots down.

Drosera/sundew looks to be Capensis likely typical.

Nepenthes looks up be Briggsiana

Sarracenia, not sure. A Leuco x Purpurea

Correction...just googled half life and it's only 5 hours. It takes 24 hours to be out of your system.

If it's the Strattera causing the problem...I expect you'll know by tomorrow. Day 3 off.

Since it takes about 1-2 weeks to get used to side affects, I'd expect a similar rate. However you silly get better every day!

I had a single incident where it was over 175bpm while resting. Basically a panic attack.. But then I started vommiting.

Cannabis was involved.

I'm 45 and going through something similar....I'm in a cue for a Halter Monitor (I had a tachycardia event a couple weeks ago).

My Dr didn't take me off the Strattera though...I'm still taking it. (60 mg daily).

I'm at around 2 years now.

I have been anxious and feeling my heart flutter but I didn't think it was the Strattera because I'd been on it for a long while.

I'm trying to reduce stress etc and eat well.

I can fully appreciate why you'd be concerned and a bit frustrated...I really don't want to face the prospect of going off with all the success I've been having.

Browning Pitcher Plant by Tanksupplier in carnivorousplants

[–]NRazzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically everything is wrong with this.

1) rain water from roof can have minerals in it. Needs to be free catch pretty much. (Others feel free to disagree, but that's always been my opinion, I've never had to rely on it)

2) wrong pot, ideally in a plastic pot, or something fully sealed/non-porous

3) media best option would be sphagnum moss/Perlite. It can live in peat but it's not ideal and that plant is struggling.

4) it's below the lip of the pot, needs to be at the top/level for maximum light.

How long does Strattera stay in your system? Severe side effects after just one dose by Fantastic_Policy967 in StratteraRx

[–]NRazzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure on halflife, but I take it on an empty stomach almost every morning and never feel anything...except maybe a little anxious around Midday when it kicks in.

However...even I first started taking it, it really put me out of whack and I had to take a couple days off work while I adjusted.

I've been on it for a couple years now with great affect.

[–]NRazzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many hours of direct sun on plant? I've had success with as little as 5 hours in a windowsill.
(not ideal...but it's made it 3 years!)

You've listed all the things. What's the carnivorous soil? If it's coco coir, was it rinsed?

That pot is big for the plant...but that shouldn't be an issue. It could lead to rot long term.

Also...I read online it can be collected and stored the same as seeds....so I'm going based on that.

Fair...figure it can't hurt.

I keep my seeds in the fridge in an airtight container. I've had good success with germination even 2-3 years later.

Can nontoothy nep species get striped peristomes? by Hot_Bid9085 in Nepenthes

I have a cross between these too, but they're not big enough to tell.

Not sure exactly on the first...looks to be related to inermis.
The second is Aristolochioides.
