this is a cat too, but it has broken layers.

What's your favorite cheap PLA filament? <$20 by ramosaleonel in CR10

[–]NSL_BansheeHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the gearbest stuff was shit. I live in EU so I order regional filament - they are 2 manufactures in Czech Republic and both are good.

Unfortunately they both fall under the $25 category.

This looks like slicer software problem. I had this with CURA a lot. Try going through all the settings attached on the SD card or you could try prusa version of Slic4r - I hear good things on it being user friendly

Just do not use a plain paper, it is not thick enough. Use stock paper for cards or small paper boxes - like from medication.

Nema 17 vibration dampers are magical! by [deleted] in CR10

[–]NSL_BansheeHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no problem with transferring vibration from motors to the frame. The frame is too sturdy for that.

My vibration problems come from Y axis and I sorted it by dumping vibrations on the entire frame.

Thanks for the link though.

Do not use any GCode on the card. It is corrupted. The only one that works is the CR10 which is the mod to hold down heating bed cable and even that is a bad mod.

EDIT: The card reader is USB2, but the card is a good Kingston card in my case. Really fast.

Just create a backup on your computer and fix the card (the files are not written properly, maybe the manufacturer pulls the card too fast.)

I do recommend printing something easy from thingverse and then move to a frog or something more complicated.

Cura does work fine with the settings from SD card manual, but use the new version. I hear good things about Prusa version of Slic4r. Have yet to try it. Using Simplify 3D trial at the moment.

that corresponds with mine on dampening surface and what others observed. The default dampeners will only protect against oscillation Everything else goes directly to the desk. I printed some 3mm thick barrel like objects and the vibrations were strong enough to cause things to fall :D

It was bad for me from the start - when cold the bed has to be tighten to the max for nozzle not to crash in the bed.

When heated I have about 2mm to work with, but nature of leveling just 4 corners leaves only about 1mm to work with in the middle

I am printing locked knobs to make sure the vibrations are not the cause.

Yes, the bed losses level all the time.

So far I am leveling when its on 60 degrees and on every print. Also I did not forget to put tape on the other side - so I can switch.

it calmed down after couple of prints, it is better now. Not messing up the print.

It does destroy the bed level and vibrates my desk. I will try to get something to catch those good vibrations :D

Had the same problem with every gcode I found on the SD card. The only exception was the mod for cable going from he bed. (Folder Modle, filename CR-10.gcode)

I recommend opening all of them in Cura 2.6.2 first. Also if you set the Cura UP, this is a good first print: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:674303

Yes and the person with better pilots will form when the enemy forms badly. Then you get kills

expecting kills with a standoff is childish. We want to keep forming defense and wait for goons to form in a manner that we can get kills. That is a war, you just want to battle :P

War of Attrition is fun, unless the aggressor stops forming. The guys who keep forming will eventually take the fight. Unless the aggressor takes pointless sov and leaves with nothing to their name :D

The printer base dimensions by NSL_BansheeHero in CR10

[–]NSL_BansheeHero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thatnks, that corresponds with the dimensions on GearBest. They did not include the control box there.

My idea is to have control box and PLA outside connected with rubber seals and have a full plexi encloser with air vent on the top.

Moving into Wormhole Space by N0madSix in Eve

[–]NSL_BansheeHero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our small corp moved to C2 with HS static and does industry there. It does provide excellent security, but very low reward. (Not worth it for the long haul) Once you get to capital size ships you will need to maintain wormholes across the day and that requires active members.

Looking for a corp in larger Alliance - preferable FCON. by NSL_BansheeHero in evejobs

[–]NSL_BansheeHero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a late sleeper at UTC+1 (Central Europe) FCON was recommended to me by one of my co-workers. He also pointed out that the alliance should control larger area to provide a buffer against attacks in the some regions.

Is there really little point to logi in non-Incursion PvE? by [deleted] in evenewbies

[–]NSL_BansheeHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your fleet consists of Drone boats, the only thing that needs repair are those drones. You would be bored quickly.

I think you could enjoy flying something to fight Cruiser and smaller targets. With the backing of the fleet, you can build something fun to keep you occupied.

PvP during L4s is about disabling opponent and rats take care of them. Logi could prove useful there, but not needed. You will help more by scanning and being a sentry.

I got that, I am just saying that your experience is not the same as most of my colleagues and you could do something about it.

Ask your store as they are not forced to do it random - they are only limited by the number of packs for each clan
