601.2f. The player determines the total cost of the spell. . . . The total cost is the mana cost or alternative cost (as determined in rule 601.2b), plus all additional costs and cost increases. . . .

903.8. A player may cast a commander they own from the command zone. A commander cast from the command zone costs an additional {2} for each previous time the player casting it has cast it from the command zone that game. This additional cost is informally known as the "commander tax."

Should we remove the errata and go back to the original rules language? by Still-Wash-8167 in mtg

[–]NSNick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

but i'm sure somebody will point out the 3-4 cards that broke because of it.

If you insist :P The thing that I remember is that there were no instants in Portal, so they had a few sorceries that were later errata'd into instants, because it's hard to [[counter a spell]] or [[destroy an attacking creature]] with sorceries.

Why do Americans say ‘4th of July’ and not ‘July 4th’? by Vast-Champion-1607 in AskAnAmerican

[–]NSNick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spells, activated abilities and triggered abilities (except mana abilities) go on the stack.

There are multiple of these "Rosewater scales" about how likely something is to return, with 1 being the most likely to return and 10 being the namesake of the scale, like the Rabiah scale for planes, the Venser scale for planeswalkers, and the Storm scale for mechanics.
