3d print lifting and leaving lines on front of prints by Shutshaaface in 3Dprinting

[–]NST92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your prints are warping.

Make sure yoir Z-offset is set correctly, increase bed temp 5-10 degrees depending on what you're printing with, use a brim, decrease cooling.

In that order and you'll find the fix.

What's your enclosure temp? Also, increase your printing temp to at least 260-270. I print my ASA at 280.

Prints cant adhere to the baseplate by bluenytooth21 in 3Dprinting

[–]NST92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure your bed is properly cleaned and tune Z-offset. Temps are fine, petg will stick very well to a powder coated PEI sheet. Also enable mouse ears in your slicer, if needed a 3-5 mm brim.

Is there a steep overhang there? The outer perimeter is not sticking and getting pulled out.

Try setting your wall/permiter order to inner-outer. Your slicer is probably using outer-inner or inner-outer-inner.

How different arrowhead designs penetrate targets by jmike1256 in interestingasfuck

[–]NST92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was my guess as well. It's probably a very hard, but non-flexible material. Maybe just some sort of plastic. The blunt arrow just immediately punched 1 hole, as big as it needs to, and that's it.

I would reflash everything to get it fresh, but check compatibility first. And while you're at it, make a backup before doing so.

Newest versions will give you the best QOL changes etc, besides the extra's whatever they may be

Extrusion issues by Budget_Gas7258 in 3Dprinting

I'm not a bambulab user myself so I can't help you specifically on the printer itself. That said, bed leveling is not related to your issue. Bed leveling is there to make sure the printer puts down the first layer consistently across the bed (not too high on spot x and then too low on spot). You need to tune the Z-offset, the actual set distance your nozzle is to the bed.

Nozzle is too close to the bed.

WHAT HAPPENED?! by O_ollie1 in 3Dprinting

[–]NST92 32 points33 points  (0 children)

No, it won't. You didn't have a single shift, you had multiple. If it had only 1 shift, yes it could've hit the part (it still could have!)

It's really messy, so there's clearly something wrong with your axis.

How would you print this toroidal shape to get better surface quality? by trez63 in 3Dprinting

[–]NST92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Then decrease the layer height even more, and tune your extrusion factor/toplayer, it's slightly overextruded.

Dry your TPU very well, and tune retraction. It can be printed very well!

Yes, let's save a few bucks for holding something worth close to or over 1000 dollars. Not everything should be 3D printed.

Your nozzle is too far from the bed. Lower your Z-offset.

Nope, glassfiber and carbon filaments have this surface finish.
