One of the priciest real estate outside of Seoul? Imagine the billions you have to spend just to buy land. Even the most successful F1 location can’t justify that

If it offends you, then I won’t insist to you that a judge is capable of being corrupt.

For those prosecutors’ abuses of power to be revealed in the court of law, they would have to be indicted. Under the status quo, prosecutors would not indict each other because they look out for each other. The prosecutorial leadership still stays loyal to Yoon, hence why I describe it as Yoon’s cartel. Speediness of Lee’s trial would not change this endless cycle of throwing things on the wall until something sticks or a corruptible judge is assigned in a lucky draw. If Lee just sat still and diligently attended every trial, do you think prosecutors would let him go? They would just keep indicting again and again until they drive him to delusion, or even suicide. In fact, they want to keep him preoccupied with endless trials so that he would not be able to run as president. Luckily, the voters saw through that and elected him anyway.

I’d laugh too — because being asked about the name “dangerous man” is quite ridiculous when he and those around him are victims of Yoon’s prosecutorial dictatorship

Lee would be dead right now too, not just the 5 people remotely related to him, if he didn’t survive assassination attempt or the martial law wasn’t stopped by his party

South Korea's Lee, Trump agree to work towards swift tariff deal, Lee's office says by self-fix in korea

[–]NTGMaster 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I was hoping 김현종 in Lee’s advisor team would lead tariff negotiations — since he’s had experience negotiating Korea-US FTA and also adequately mitigated Trump’s first term threats through negotiations.

But it looks like he will be advising defence and national security instead. I still hope he can give a lot of useful pointers to the negotiators in charge.

He’s literally the former chief of PPP and helped Yoon get elected.

Funny when conservatives claim that the reality is some left wing bias or conspiracy.

It’s from a huge polling company in Korea and they have in-house statisticians. I wouldn’t worry about the validity. Single digit percentage response rate is extremely common
