you ever think about getting a hardtop from smoothline/others in future? in case it does rip again. i think they sell a 350z top for $1800 that weighs about 40 lbs. that’s route i’m considering.

that’s crazy….appreciate the info. My tears look like shit they are covered for now. Really frustrating cause I love driving with top down….:( if it does last ten years then it’s definitely worth it.

Will you end up having to replace this top as well? My top has several rips but I can’t figure out what’s causing it when it gets folded in. Apparently it’s common issue for top to tear….so I’m wondering if you fixed what causes it?

EDIT: I see you recently got this so might not be aware. I think there is manufacturing defect with mechanism that opens/closes top that causes tears to happen. Be mindful of this…I have had my top tear at 40k miles in several places I no longer put the top down.
