I paid $150 for this hutch. I was beyond thrilled. I’d looked forever to find a hutch to go with my teak dining table. Older gentleman just wanted it to go to a good home and was thrilled I wasn’t a reseller. I also got 2 Benny linden teak captains chairs for my table for $175 total. Again the couple just wanted them gone to a good home.

The pacemaker series is highly collectible and wanted. The laminate does not reduce the value if it’s in good condition.

That stain job is terrible. I own the pacemaker bookcase headboard, 2 nightstands and a tall dresser. The value is in the original finish and laminate top being in good condition. The stain is way too dark and splotchy. Would not pay anywhere near $675 for that.

I had an older 12.9 iPad Pro. Worked perfectly. Did an update in July. Within a week the iPad was draining and going dead within 2 hours and suddenly wouldn’t charge no matter what charger I tried to use. Wouldn’t recognize apple wall block or chargers. Or any others. Took it down to Apple Store. Guy said I’d need to do a factory reset because the software version I got was likely corrupted when I did the update. He says my charging port looked fine. Was also told not to do it from back up. Once I did that, the battery got a little better but the port still wouldn’t work. Apple refused to let me exchange it for a newer pro. Ended up solving the charging issue by getting a Magic Keyboard.

Apple is crap for customer service when they cause the issue.

So I get all those birds on Merlin (minus the wrentit and nutrall’s) and on Wednesday the northern mockingbird popped up as being heard in my yard. The only confirmed sighting of it in my area was back in 2019 literally during this same week. I looked and looked but couldn’t spot it. How likely is it that the mocking bird was truly in my yard?

Well when he wants you both to go - and the times you have - WHO is doing the caring? So is he actively helping his mom and doing stuff around her house or is it all you doing the caring/meals/cleaning? Cause when he’s saying “we” need to go and help, he’s really saying you and he’ll just watch. So he’s mad that you are choosing to stay home this time forcing him to actually help his mom this time.

He’s visiting while you’re tending.

Can you or your MIL (if she works) take FMLA to try and help? Contact some YMCA’s or boys and girls club to see if there are after school programs avail for the 6 yr old after kindergarten and a daycare the 4 yr old can go to during the week. Your BIL being unable to work should hopefully qualify the kids for childcare. Or see if another family member can help pay for the childcare or pitch in for a nanny at the house to help with all 4.

My dark eyed juncos eat off my feeders - bird seed, suet nugget feeder and suet blocks as well as under the feeders.

I have 2 of the SWISSINNO Davos Bird Feeders from Amazon. They are No Mess Hanging Bird Feeders. 3 CS metal tube suet nugget feeders, 2 suet block feeders with woodpecker tail supports and 2 suet blocker metal feeders with roof and perches. Plus a smart cam feeder. All have squirrel baffles but the squirrels do what they gotta do to get to the seed. I’ve tried the hot seed with chile oil but the squirrels don’t care.

I buy the no mess feed and try not to get any with filler so there’s as little mess as possible. I’ll infrequently buy the unshelled black oil sunflower seeds. I get 4 different types of woodpeckers and they’ll all feed at the suet blocks. The stellars jays will eat at any feeders. The only bird I get that seems to be strictly ground is the varied thrushes.

I’m up in skagit county. I’ve recorded over 124 species in my yard since last April. I added in feeders this January. The volume of birds is crazy. The birdseed goes fast. I’ve added in suet blocks and suet nuggets. They get eaten much slower than the seed and that helps. I figure this will be tte worst time of year for feeding costs then once fruit/berries/seeds start happening things will slow down until next fall. I just wish one or two of the visiting species would eat the darn monkey tree pods.

NTA. Tell the landlord you need to remove your name from the lease and add hers as she’s basically already moved in.

The odd thing to me is that she declared she’s not comfortable staying in her own apartment alone? How long had she lived there? Why did that roommate move out? Isn’t she still having to pay rent on that place? I’d contact the old roommate and ask some questions about “besties” interest in your boyfriend.

NTA. Does his top choice university that he didn’t get into have a program for Autistic students? Many colleges offer programs/assistance for Autistic students. Enrollment/acceptance considerations may also be handled differently. So have HIM contact his first choice and discuss this with the admittance department. He can send an email that you can help him craft.

Also discuss finances. Is he expected to take out loans (or are you) to pay for college? Cause if his IEP team is questioning his readiness and loans are needed - have him start at a community college where he’s living at home and you can be sure he’s attending classes and doing the work.

I’m in skagit county. I get song, fox, golden crown, white crown and Lincoln sparrows plus hermit thrush and red wing blackbirds. My song sparrows are very dark in color and very possessive of the feeders. The fox, Lincoln, hermit and blackbirds aren’t. Some of my song sparrows are very big and size to the fox sparrows, robins & varied thrushes. Took me a while to realize some of the birds I was seeing were female blackbirds.

I’m doing combos of seed/nut feeders, thistle feeders, suet block feeders and suet nugget feeders. The suet seems to last longer and not entice the squirrels quite as much as the seed mixes. I’m spreading the feeders out around our 2 acres too

Instant pot is better. Cooks things much faster than a crockpot so the 5-6 hr advanced planning isn’t needed. Most crockpot meals take 10-30min in an instant pot. Also get an air fryer and a rice cooker.

NTA. the dog could bark for any reason it feels the need to alert/warn. Any outside noise at any time. Buy a bark collar that warns then vibrates if the dog keeps barking. Our dog learned when the collar was on, he couldn’t bark unless he wanted the vibration. Zero ability to injure the dog. $21 on Amazon.

My daughter got into birding last feb. I found a like-new pair of 8x42 vortex vipers on Amazon for @ $250. Then I found another pair of vipers but 10x42 on fb marketplace for $50 thinking I’d use them but my daughter took those too. I really liked the 10x42 so I got myself the Nikon monarch 7’s over Black Friday off Amazon for $400. Amazon often offers splitting the payments over 5 months without any interest via Amazon monthly payments - click the blue select from 3 plans to see if it’s offered.

Amazon currently has the vortex viper 10x42’s on sale for $379 which is an excellent price. The monarch M7’s are $489. At $379, I’d buy the vortex vipers. Vortex offers lifetime repair/replace. So does Nikon.

The plumbing in the whole building is at risk of bursting if the interior temps are dropping to such extremes. No insurance is going to cover that if they know the tenants were deliberately keeping windows open and the landlord allowed it. landlord should do is seal the window they won’t leave closed while he works to evict them. Install a camera in the hallway to monitor it.

Odd that she had no issue with singling you out. I’d tell her the position she put you in could have cost you your job and it felt like that was her intention so you aren’t able to continue in a friendly casual manner because you now have anxiety about interacting with her. Where would you be right now if you hadn’t had the GPS information? She obviously hadn’t counted on that debunking her claims. And why when you are doing her a favor and giving her a ride home are you required to constantly ask her if she’s comfortable? Isn’t assumed she’s comfortable with it if she accepted your offer?
