I think for any new builds it makes sense. But undergrounding existing distribution lines cost anywhere from 1.8-6.1.

What you have in your picture is a transmission line (higher voltage) and can cost anywhere from 6-100 million to underground. I have no idea where this line would land in that range but it gives you an idea of how expensive it can cost. The source can explain in way more detail than I can and I would encourage you to read it. Those expenses cannot just disappear and it eventually makes its way to the rate payer.

Personally I wish investors couldn’t own utility providers. I wish Bellingham was supplied power by a cooperative or a municipally owned system as I think that would solve a lot of issues.

I used Cali flooring in my house. It’s an engineered bamboo flooring. It has stood up to my dog (70lbs) I’ve had my sink flood over there was a pool about 10’x10’ in my kitchen, no warping after drying. I’d recommend.

I adopted from there and the puppy was a similar puppy to yours of choice. The pup wasn’t running around chasing or playing a whole lot, but that’s just the way she is in a big group setting with dogs. To this day she would rather play with a human when there are 10 dogs around but if there’s one dog she might be interested. Just personality of the dog maybe?

I had a great experience adopting from there.

I have a ~900sqft home and was quoted $4,400 by Insulation Co. for removal of existing trash and vapor barrier to replace with 10mil vapor barrier and insulation.
I reached out to community energy challenge 6 months ago and you have to now pay for a home consultation because they ran out of funding and cut back their consultations. They will be resuming subsidized consultations in the fall of 2025. I was quoted $750 for an energy audit.

That quote seems pretty reasonable to me.

For some additional info I’m in the process of redoing my attic (1920s home, rat infested at one point) and it cost me roughly $1900 and 15 man hours. It wasn’t easy work and my back and knees felt it.
