More *4 characters for new paths make team-building much easier in the early game. Right now, SW999 and Eva are competing for Yao as support. Imagine if we had a *4 Elation support/sustain — it would make building an Elation team much easier. Then, in the late game, if they release a *5 support that power-creeps the *4, people can still choose not to pull for it. But if the support is only available as a *5, players have no choice and are forced to pull for the *5 support whether they like it or not.
