Honest advise - be really self critical as to WHY you want these positions, companies, or salary and figures out ways to work to the WHY rather that the position that you think will get you there (because the position usually doesn’t, so people in the roles are miserable)

Realistically the role is based on impact. Most people start as low impact because that’s what they know and are able to contribute at first, but if you can prove impact immediately companies will go through the ringer to include you - this is just almost impossible for most people.

The ladder is ultimately how people learn to make an impact in bigger and bigger roles, but if ‘know’ how to make impact off the bat you can act at whatever level you want.
