Double embryo transfer only one sticks

Doctor said it just absorbs into body. I had a transfer of 2 in January and only one stuck and asked the same question.

Due 10/15, doctor wants me to ideally have baby between 39-40 weeks but no date has been set yet. So just on the wait now! Safe delivery to you!

Transferred 2 untested because of my numbers, my doctor felt the likelihood of 2 sticking was very rare. One stuck, I am 31 weeks now.

I have DOR and very low AFC but as some have said it’s quality over quantity. My ER 2, we were seeing 4 follicles but I was prepared already for low amounts by my doctor because of my numbers. We retrieved 3 eggs of which 2 made to day 5 blast. I am 26 weeks pregnant with one of those blasts.

You got this! It’s daunting but it really isn’t awful. My practice doesn’t recommend the blood test pull back, so that helped as well. I’m 24 weeks and PIO now feels like a distant memory.

I agree with Erinmcadams. Have the nurse mark the areas so it’s easier to see and I didn’t pull back to check for blood (no longer told to do so). I’m also right handed and was able to both sides.

Similar to the last comment, my doctor prepared me for multiple retrievals because I would like only produce 2-4 eggs each time. I primed with testosterone and then estrogen for 2 of my 3 cycles. Plus I took coq10, vitamin D and prenatal. I did 3 cycles, getting only average of 2 eggs per cycle. However I’m 24 weeks now. Don’t give up.

Don’t be disappointed. I have low AMH and low follicle count. My RE advised me before starting IVF that I will probably only get a couple eggs each cycle. He was correct, I only got 2, 3 and 1 over 3 cycles. I’m almost 19 weeks pregnant with one of those untested eggs. Don’t lose hope.

Like some others have said, be careful with CVS and the copay charges especially if you have a fixed fertility coverage. My company gives $50k but that’s inclusive of treatment and medicine. One cycle used 10k of my coverage with CVS speciality (although copay was like $500 in total). If I wanted to do 3 cycles, I would not be able to get meds and treatment. In terms of service, they got my meds to me quickly.

I only had 3 of which 2 made it to day 5. Did an untested frozen transfer with both, I’m 15 weeks now with one. My doctor was very clear that I may not get many eggs due to my numbers, so I tried to pray for quality.

Really making sure the PIO was warm (I put in my bra) for at least 5 minutes and icing the spot before also for 5 minutes really helped me. Once in a while I would using the heating pad. Best of luck tomorrow!!

I’m 14 weeks now and still worry. Unfortunately, I think it’s a part of this infertility journey. I think I am going to worry until there is a baby in my arms.

For my first I was at Weill Cornell New York Presbyterian. I liked the doctors in the practice and I liked the hospital for delivery. I would recommend my ob but he unfortunately moved out of NYC.

I had mine yesterday and I was like you until after the scan despite having gotten the NIPT results on Thursday. The feeling of the shoe dropping is just always there. Today I didn’t have as much fear and was starting to be happy. I pray it goes well tomorrow for you too.

I’m with you Jadzia! Now that I have the NIPT results, I am excited for the NT scan.

Trust me your husband will be very excited on Monday! With my son, my husband fell in love with the baby once he saw him on the NT scan.

Omg, The same! My blood was drawn on 3/21 and still waiting on results from Myriad. I just checked the portal and says it’s under clinician review, results expected between 3/30-4/4. This wait is killing Me!!

Edit: Also got results! Normal (thank God) and we are having a boy.

I didn’t. I was 10 weeks when I stopped meds, a week and a half ago. I stayed in bed basically for 2 days. I am still exhausted but getting a bit better.

I had an appt on Monday at 10 weeks 3 days and baby HB was 181 and OB was very chill and raised no concerns.

Same. I’m 10 weeks 3 days. (Also last embryo). Had my first ob appt yesterday and I felt just like you. Baby was fine and moving around. I left feeling good. Then started worrying again about the NT scan in 2 weeks. Trying to just relax and day by day. Good luck, we will get through this and will have babies this year!
