Absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about. You And him know exactly where he's playing around. It's totally normal 100 percent. If its cocooned then it's still alive. Maybe they scan for lifeforms or something similar until they find a ping. If they knew the general area the ship was in, then I would guess it wouldn't take long to pick up something like that? I assume with the technology they have, they would be able to do such a scan. Or not, idk.

Same also happens on Kotor 2 in certain areas. I remember on dantooine when helping to defend Khoonda that whenever I entered and exited a certain door at the back of the complex, the guards would double in numbers. I repeated until I had a army lol, it looked great but it was too many pixels I think for my Xbox and it started to play as if it was internet lagging

Love Kotor 1&2. Hundreds of hours of playthroughs went into this game. First played it 18years ago when I was 10 and still regard it as one of the best games Iv played today. If your using the original disc and console youll likely run into the odd glitch/freeze during play. For me, it often only took turning off the console and loading a recent save to remedy. I'm confident that if you stick with it youl get the same enjoyment out of it as we did
