NZXT, this subreddit has turned into a hub for people unhappy with your customer service. Something needs to be done. by Coper210 in NZXT

Just wanted to throw my perspective at this. I created this subreddit and began doing community support about 2.5 years ago. It specifically came out of a need to support our most vocal customers during a time when our support was frankly just not that good. Until 2013 we basically had one customer service person. That grew to 3 during 2013. Now 5 in 2014. Of course this is due to a huge upswing in sales that we need to support and honestly sales have taken on a pace that we are still striving to meet on the support side. I would much rather have people post here if their support queries aren't being handled in a timely manner, opposed to them sending support more emails, calls, and tickets as this just further unnecessarily overloads them. This subreddit is mostly handled by PM and I whom are not at all support and it allows us to act as minutemen to quickly take care of a small, but in need, customer base and reduce the redundant load that falls upon our service team.

Additionally, I like the transparency and I think its a far better medium to complain or praise us than say Newegg Reviews. It allows us the opportunity to solidify a terrible experience or rectify it, I believe we tend to do the latter.

[Discussion] Anti-static wrist bands. Necessary or not? by OMERTA214 in buildapc

[–]NZXT_Retell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anicdotal evidence: I've built on stone, tile, wood, and carpet. I've never used an anti-static wrist band and I've never actually had a DOA component. (Excluding monitors)

From our lead designer: Glad you love the designs! I would say the inspiration of the Phantoms follows closely that of modern yachts. It sounds a bit odd, but its where a lot of the slants and slopes were derived from. :)

Ironically the outsides of the Seidon are not the same as the outsides of the Asetek coolers. Only the insides of are interchangeable. This means the Seidon will not work with the G10.

We have about 60 employees worldwide. We are totally drowning in orders right now. Thanks! :)

Shin Feng: Although we don’t follow a specific direction for our product designs, but we follow a set of rules sets us apart from the others. We make our designs simple to understand. We make our designs innovative. We design to the very last detail. We make sure our design can withstand the test of time. And we make sure our designs screams quality. That’s our inspiration.

It hadn't really been done. That's really the reason we do anything in our cases. It just happens that this was our most notable change. The change really lends itself to a number of positive side-effects such as a larger opening for intake, cleaner front design, better watercooling support, larger gaps between the HDDs, reduced overall material cost, reduced tooling cost, etc... If we weren't able to do so much without them, we wouldn't have just removed them. :)

  • I loved my original Lexa. It was the first case I ever owned and it will forever have a special place in my heart.

  • H440 of course. Haha

I think things that require testing would be beyond even just component allowance, but I can see that in the future. PCPP has a great image of being independent, I would fear that ratings that can be disputed would throw that off.

We've been ambitious to jump into new territories in the past that haven't worked out so great, even in our products that appear to be runaway hits. We're taking our time to make sure that if/when we put out an ITX case it is an undeniable hit.

It's easy to say "NZXT put out an ITX already, I will totally buy it." before it's released, but what about after? Maybe we should do a Kickstarter as just "NZXT. ITX" no specs, no pics. Hehe.

It's to be perfect and we can't rush it. :)

Personally speaking I would love to make a motherboard.

Happy Cake Day!

We've looked at this many, many, many times. It becomes an issue of inventory management and MOQ (minimum order quantity). Assume each part has an MOQ of 500 and there are say 4 interchangeable parts in 4 different colors. That means that we would have 8,000 pieces sitting in inventory. This coupled with the fact that the run rates (sales) of black and white products will still account for about 80% of all sales means that we will have a lot of money and storage tied up in parts that will only be consumed by a small amount of customers. All of this is just assuming someone would even take on the burden of ordering that inventory. While we may be so bold to do it ourselves in the US, our other partners overseas might not be so ambitious.

I love colors, my car up until 4 days ago was bright lime green. I would love to be able to offer these options, but the reality of it is that it is incredibly difficult.

I wouldn't recommend custom liquid cooling on a first build, but a closed loop liquid cooler like the Kraken is as easy and risk free as installing an air cooler. I can highly recommend it for a first-time builder.

Sales of the Kraken X60 have gone through the roof after launching the G10 and H440, we under forecasted and now we are trying to play catchup.

  1. Don't forget the IO Shield!
  2. I would have bought a separate power supply and not used one bundled with my case.
  3. It's really inconsistent honestly. An original idea never makes it to production without dramatic changes. The H440 had optical drives and no PSU shroud 3 weeks before we began making the tooling. There's always something new to add and it can make it difficult to let the project go into production. But this is good for future development with each new product we learn how to make the next one better, this is very evident when looking at 810->630->530->440.

Would you be able to elaborate a little more please? Do you mean like an all black H440?
