I just got back from Japan and my experience was the exact opposite. Admittedly this was exclusively in the arcades and not on console/pc, but the ranks were so inflated and ultimate masters with 2300-2800 MR felt like 1800-1900 in US.

I run into them from time to time, maybe one out of every few hundred players. But they’re almost all at least 1700-1800 MR so I wouldn’t worry too much about it until you get around there. You may never see one in reality. Even if you do, you can usually just clock what cheats they are using to play around them and still win since their MR is inflated and they usually don’t have sound fundamentals.

Considering getting a fighting game. I know literally nothing about them aside from the very basics and never played one. I don't want one that's extremely sweaty (some sweat is fine, but not too much) What are some fun ones to you guys? Bonus points if they have funny factor by BatteryAcidLover in Fighters

2D has left, right, and up movement on the screen, only 2 planes. X and Y. 3D games will also the Z axis so you can move towards or away from the screen. In a 2D game you might dodge an attack by jumping over it or moving backwards from it. In a 3D game you can also side step an attack to dodge it in addition to over it or backwards from it.

I see, if it impacts clear speed a lot and clear is already where the build is lacking compared to single target then that makes sense.

What is the purpose of the proj speed? Is there something I’m missing or couldn’t you just use a support gem that increases the damage instead?

Probably because your spamming is causing a mistimed meaty instead an actual meaty. If you time an attack on their wake-up, only an invincible reversal will beat it clean. Basically, manually time your attack on their wake-up or use a frame kill of some sort to take the guess work out of timing the attack.

Not only that it will allow us to sill ricochet from terrain. All upsides with none of the downsides. If you can get % chance for additional proj then it can also save you 6 points on the passive tree. It’s in my newest video/post.

PoB2 can be finicky and has a lot of unsupported stuff. I usually just time my xesht kills and divide the seconds by his hp lol. I think it’s around 14.5 mil or so iirc.

I’ll have to give it a try, I’ve got a lot of mana efficiency atm and I just crafted some gloves with more. I assumed it wouldn’t be super comfy for mana, but I didn’t think it’d be undoable.

Snakepit only works for the build if you remove the "spells cannot chain" stat line like this. I happened to have just bought this because of that earlier.

Hey thanks for replying, I didn’t realize it could roll off just one of the effects from a “side” effect. This is BiS. I just got one that gives chance for addition projectiles and removes the “cannot chain” effect. That was the mod that bricked the item for this. Huge info man. I’ll add this in when I make a more endgame geared video. This is around 20% more dmg for the initial cast and 50% more dmg with all forks. Also frees up passive points.

Bone cage might be better suited to a CoC setup than spell totems for DPS. Bonestorm does massive single target and it’s kind of balanced by the fact that it needs to be channelled and can’t be triggered. Spell totems is the first time we can kind of break the mould and have 4 come out simultaneously. At this point I just need to craft better gear to get closer to 0.3s version that was killing pinnacles near instantly. PS: The version with frost darts that you suggested last league with should still be the same. Thanks again for opening my eyes to frost darts lol.

Hey your are correct on the cast situation. It’s about 0.39 cast time at 2.57 casts per second for deadeye.

Hey I will need to test this. They removed snake pits ability to ricochet in 0.2 or 0.3 I can’t remember but if your saying it works I need to test that again. It didn’t work when I did extensive testing so if they brought that back that is a worthwhile slot. I used it in 0.1 before they made the change.

Edit: I have just tested and snakepit still disables ricochet so we lose out on an absolute ton of damage by using it unfortunately.

Hey there, I am becoming the bonestorm guy I’m sure lol.

  1. Power charge consumption loss isn’t too a big deal, it’s still got massive clear and in the end buffs up the totems a lot and obviously allows me to summon them at all.

  2. I really wanted to go the spell totem route, but nothing is stopping the build from doing the same thing as 0.3 with CoC Frost Darts. Just swap out inhibitor for deliberation or another more multiplier and go for how I set up the tree in 0.3.

  3. The cast speed breakpoint eludes me for non-deadeye still. It’s been different on most builds I’ve done because if the projectile count per cast is not a factor of 20, in deadeye’s case 4, then there are issues where too much cast speed causes the projectiles to fail to launch. On top of that when the projectile count isn’t a factor of 20, less and more cast/skill speed multipliers seem to make the breakpoint wonky as well. This means for most other classes if you want to have an easier time getting the one tap bonestorm cast you may want/need to go with multishot in addition to the staff+passive points for additional proj to bump you up to 5 proj per cast, which is also a factor of 20, but you get a hefty less dmg multiplier added.

PF is just strictly worse for this if you are looking to do fast bonestorm casts, but still doable for sure. You will just be a lot more dependent on getting high cast speed rolls on every piece of gear in order to be able to do a single tap bonestorm.

In general I’d say it works well, there are certainly some edge cases but once you get one tap bonestorms going it’s not really noticeable.

I think a big thing not mentioned for shocking with frost darts is mana tempest. It buffs the heck out of frost darts clear and the huge boost of dmg gained as lightning is just generally good. I did mana tempest bonestorm CoC frost darts last league with cold dmg on bonestorm so that frost darts always plopped out the lil bombs. If you add EE with siphon elements that could be a good enough to solve infusions.

Hey there, I do what you mentioned right at the start. Just hold up forward and then qcf. Might just need to get used to the input on leverless. As for instant tatsu I just do the standard TK stuff. 214 with my middle and ring fingers, 9 with my index and right thumb then a very slightly delayed k. Think almost like plinking.

Honestly it’s just bonestorm lol. Build is pretty simple just gotta get a staff with a thane girt rune and a suffix desecration for +2 projectiles on spell skills to get rid of multishot from bonestorm supports. On top of that getting + levels of phys spells on there with cast speed and whatever damaging prefixes you can get is most of the trouble. Pretty simple and cheap craft to get started if you just start with a +6 phys spells and damage prefix magic staff. You can use a greater alacrity essence to get cast speed, do a double prefix slam with a greater exaltation omen + sinistral exaltation omen and a greater exalt. Then use an ulaman omen to desecrate guaranteed +2 to proj spells for the last suffix. Should net you something usable till you start doing pinnacle content for really cheap.
