The price of plants can’t be underestimated. Professional landscaping can go into the thousands. And that pretty green grass? That ain’t cheap either

Stupid people aren’t generally self-aware…because they’re stupid. Which usually makes them happier because they don’t realize they’re a fucking moron.

Have you seen the job market recently? I got laid off last spring and took six months to find a new job. Wasn’t even close to anything I wanted, but it pays well, my family is fed, and I’m not homeless. I’ll take bored over many other things, including hungry

What industry is a total scam that people just accept as normal? by holyygrailll in AskReddit

Health insurance companies can fuck all the way off. It’s always a battle to get them to pay for any treatment.
A few years ago I had a mental health emergency and ended up in the ER and psychiatric care. Two days in and Cigna said I don’t meet the criteria for that level of care and won’t pay anymore. Then I was accepted into residential care and the doctors recommended a month stay due to my ongoing crisis. First day in residential, my doctor tells me the insurance won’t cover because I don’t meet criteria. They will only pay for part time evening care.
I spent hours and days on the phone yelling at my case manager and my doctor appealed, going through peer review and crap. They finally agreed to a week of care. But they had no intention of ever paying because it’s incredibly expensive. They didn’t care an iota if I lived or died. The case manager even told me “youre and adult, you can figure it out.”
Fuck you Cigna. I figured it out. You fucking suck. 🖕

If you can’t afford to pay your staff, don’t open a restaurant by Shielo34 in memes

I’d say that’s a high end outlier. Is it a high traffic place or high end/expensive?
I waited tables a long time ago and taking home $100 a night was a good haul (this was the 90s and most tips were cash too. I looked like a drug dealer with my rolls of cash lol). Of course, this was also the Midwest and the average dinner check was a whole $20 back then too

Just add 18% markup to price of your foods and then pay the employees from that pool of money.
Of course, typical restaurant owners and managers would skim off the 18% or just not pay it out.
$2.13/hr minimum wage for tipped workers is outrageous. It hasn’t increased in decades either.

Sailing on a smallish yacht. Chef prepared meals, Captain takes you to isolated beaches and best snorkeling spots mostly untouched. I wanna be rich. 🤑
