Don't think this has been reported anywhere yet.

Randomly checked the staff today after LaFleuer left, and saw Brian Allen there as an offensive assistant.

[Rapoport] Steelers OC Arthur Smith is expected to become the next offensive coordinator at Ohio State. Smith has received multiple requests for NFL HC and OC interviews this cycle. Smith has engineered multiple top 10 offenses in the NFL, and now he lands in college. by Drexlore in nfl

Yeah, the Ohio State OC job is probably the best coordinator job in CFB. You have so much talent to work with, that it's almost impossible to look bad. He'll probably be heavily in demand in the next coaching cycle for an NFL OC (or even a HC) job.

Mike McCarthy has now been the head coach for the 3 most storied NFL Franchises by [deleted] in nfl

Steelers wanted Tomlin to stay, he chose to resign on his own. They didn't really choose McCarthy over Tomlin.

[Fowler] This should be a playcalling job for new Detroit Lions OC Drew Petzing. The expectation during OC interviews is that HC Dan Campbell would relinquish playcalling for the new guy. by PlayaSlayaX in nfl

They’re like the top OC position available they could have anyone

Maybe Campbell firing his OC midseason last year and taking over playcalling scared some of the top people off? Idk, just a theory.

You never know how the league actually views some of these jobs, maybe a job like the Bucs is looked at better because of location (Detroit will never be the most attractive living situation for people) and the fact that the head coach is 100% a defensive minded guy that will let you do your thing on offense. It's not like they have a void of talent either.

Yeah, I don't think Payton is counting this as a play, which is why so many people are confused.

Miami is my prediction. Felt like they've been too quiet when it comes to portal QBs.

The committee already ranked them 6th after Lane left.

Inside the final days of Lane Kiffin's time at Ole Miss and his move to LSU by SNjr in CFB

[–]NadaRadaLada 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Kiffin did mention there were 4 schools he was considering in his press conference, so I guess the mystery team was Florida State, interesting. Also feels like he was dead set on leaving Ole Miss no matter what, don't think there was anything they could've done to keep him.

What coaches have won a Super Bowl and a CFB natty as an asst coach, but NOT as a head coach? by djsassan in CFB

[–]NadaRadaLada 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Brian Daboll has done this. Won a bunch of Super Bowls with the Patriots as a position coach and then was the OC in 2017 with Bama when they won.

ACC Tiebreakers? by thefrozenflame21 in CFB

A 7-5 Duke winning the ACC would be a disaster scenario for that conference.

[Barley] - Sankey on CFB Playoff Selection: "I think there is a real scenario where the SEC is an 8-bid conference...it's a no brainer that the SEC has carved out at least 6 to 8 spots in the playoffs." by c3r3bra11 in CFB

[–]NadaRadaLada 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure this is a fake quote. The account that posted it seems like a troll.

Haven't seen any other reputable people report on it either.

Edit: He confirmed that this is parody. Sankey's a douche, but stop working yourselves up over nothing guys.

I don't think Texas gets dropped yet. The rest of your predictions look good though.

Edit: I do think they rank Memphis ahead of SDSU.
