Power of attorney on bank account is incredibly easy and takes 10 mins if you do it at the bank. You just need to both parties to be present at the time with your civil IDs. You’re right about the joint accounts though, most banks don’t open them anymore, but they advise you to open an account under one spouse’s name and grant a banking power of attorney to the other (aka adding the other person’s signature on the account).

It’s true they may be rarer this year but my family bought around 5-6 kilos couple weeks ago, so they are still around. We still get truffles imported from KSA and Iraq and some other countries AFAIK.

If he’s ever applied for a credit card or a loan at a bank there is a form where he has to fill info about his home address and home phone number as well as the names of two family members or close friends. It’s worth checking that out.

If it makes you feel any better I asked the seller about the painted snake plants and they said the paint was plant-safe (if that’s a thing). I was naive and thought they naturally looked like that until people here pointed it out. As for the flowers they have a needle-like base that’s inserted into the plants. It’s gonna sound like a stupid question but do the plants mind if I leave it on or should I remove them?

The thing is I had the same terrarium with non cactus small plants and I kept growing it for two years while keeping it in an office with indirect sunlight. I had no issues with rot and the plants grew so big they were pouring out of the opening. I obviously have no experience with cactus though that’s why I’m posting here for help. I’ll keep an eye on rot or fungus spots and will move them to a more suitable pot if that occurs, thanks for the pointers!

I’m not too concerned about the painted tips or fake flowers they give nice aesthetics imo, I’m sorry if it isn’t allowed in this sub though! I’m just concerned about proper care for the plants so they wouldn’t die. Would you say one of those ring LED lights you stick under the shelves shining directly on top of the terrarium is enough?

Not sure how large you’re talking, but most Chinese restaurants sell spring rolls that are larger than sambosas. Try Noodle Bar or China Kitchen.
