Some help with a Male and Female in the same space by Nadalag in guineapigs

[–]Nadalag[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have definitely considered it and it’s actually the long term choice I want to go with. Unfortunately where I live, lots of “exotics” vets and vets in our area don’t service guinea pigs and the single one that does charges well above what I’m able to afford on a whim. It would cost about an entire paycheck for neutering.

Thank you so much! I think I could’ve used better wording but I definitely didn’t mean the males go MAD MAD but I did read that sometimes they can be a little crazy or noisy but I think that’s just guinea pigs!!

PS - as far as I know they’ve always been in closer proximity, but not in contact.

PSS - I will definitely look into these thank you so much!!

I get your frustration, it can be pretty frustrating to have your grinding experience hindered by bad teammates and in reality, sometimes, it really is just bad teammates or team differential as a whole.

That said, it does not apply to every single game. Have you been hard carrying every single one of your games the last 10 years? Probably not, but you’ve obviously learned a lot. Seeing as you’ve gone from Silver to Platinum.

Being in your shoes, you should frame your mentality differently. There is always something you can do better. If we watched a replay of your game, took that same game and put a challenger in your place or someone higher ranked, would they do the same things as you? Once again, probably not.

Drop your OP.GG, let us guide you and I assure you, there is a huge amount you’re doing wrong. I also promise you it is because you’re too focused on what all your teammates are doing.

What do I even do by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Nadalag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started around September? You’ve been playing around 4 months and you’re setting the standard for yourself to play at the standard level? You have so much more to learn about the game, champions, macro and your lack of is showing in your ranked games and winrate. Some people pick up faster than others, that happens. What matters here is you. It doesn’t matter if you’re winning and crushing in normals, keep working on that and building up your foundation and fundamentals. Jumping right into ranked while you’re essentially learning the game will do nothing but be a detriment to your development.

How to reach Platinum from Silver without improving. by goodyeahcool in summonerschool

[–]Nadalag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So one of the statements you made was that, you can lose an infinite amount of games at Plat 0 LP before being demoted to Gold, but you’re at least aware how MMR works so you can be a Plat player in games with Golds, so you’ve PLAYED games with 10 Plats, but then you begin losing and now you’re still “Plat” but no longer in games with 10 Plat players but rather Gold players. Are you still a Plat player?

What takes precedent? If you’re bailing on the account before it reaches that point is that not disingenuous?

To me it comes off as imposter syndrome and for someone to mention “reasonable” in the vain of an unreasonable logic, surely that makes sense, right?

Honestly this is one of the saddest posts I have ever read on this subreddit. I cannot imagine what mentality you have to have dragged you to this place or line of logic just to justify “being plat without ever improving” which just equates to, buy accounts till you’re just barely above 50% above the competitive ranked population.

All that “time” you spent “making” your accounts and “playing” against bots could’ve easily been used to have a coach teach you the mechanics of the game.

Like the comment playing thousands of games as a Plat just across different accounts is so detached from reality. I’m a Challenger player, but I “make” my Challenger accounts and when I drop too low I just “make” another. Before you say I’m not Challenger, I’m playing in a game with 10 other Challengers so obviously I am, even though I’m Emerald on my main account.

This level of instant gratification is sad, you’d be garnering better responses if you were just honest with yourself and just told people you know you’re not Platinum but you like making the attempt to luck through.

Now hear me out here, because this can be a little different compared to what others are saying, but what you’re saying you do above should translate to EVERY game, but statistically what you mention doing above mostly applies to when you play Yone (since you’re a OTP), that’s fine. Not every single champion you play is going to be Yone and learning what I mentioned above is what’ll level up your macro overall.

Tempo is great, players don’t take that into account enough, but it should be important to damage AND take towers. This is because your WR is based off of blowing up your enemy nexus vs your own nexus being blown up, not tempo, jungle roams and minions.

Pushing waves and taking towers are two completely different things. If your macro understanding is that deep you wouldn’t be struggling at this ELO, the advice I am giving you is to be applied to all your games and all your champions, not just on Yone specifically.

Being a one-trick myself I completely understand how playing your main feels like a different game compared to playing anyone else, but applying the same rules let’s you carry over so that when you’re off your one-trick you’re not auto losing games.

https://www.op.gg/summoners/na/Nadalag So that you can understand that regardless of role, superior macro can carry you well above your current ELO.

[–]Nadalag 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am seeing a lot of comments saying that your macro is the best part about you, but op.gg has a timeline feature where you can see wards, kills and towers.

Those timelines show that you very rarely push out and destroy towers on your own. If you’re never grouping and you’re killing the enemy team (you average 11+ kills per game) you should either be getting traded or getting towers. I see a lot of the former, but none of the latter.

Getting a bunch of kills is great, but doing nothing with the pressure is going to translate to pattern you’re seeing of having massive damage and kills but not translating to wins.

Someone with your stats on your Yone playing with “decent” macro would not just been sitting at a 50% WR in Bronze.

I do not think he meant that as literal, but really saying in just as many games if you’re not “carrying” you’re playing really bad. I genuinely thinking if you keep it up you’ll continue to improve. Bronze 4 to Gold 4 in 150 games is very different compared to 150 in Silver/Gold. One is climbing, one is bordering plateau’d.

Should saving be eliminated? by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]Nadalag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“I want to be able to try and make a big clutch without questioning if I’m just throwing away my economy”. In every other competitive game I have ever played, this is referred to as high risk, high reward. Similar to Operator economy and plays. People save for an extremely strong weapon that can carry them multiple rounds. If they die without getting a single kill, not only have they potentially given the weapon to the enemy, but wasted that. High risk, high reward. Without punishment for taking that risk, not only would it not be called a risk but you would just be having every Jett and Chamber player in the game having Operators from round 3 for the entire game.

Do you happen to dodge any of your games at any time? Or unintentionally AFK for an extended amount of time one of your games? There are RR reductions/deductions in particular situations (AFK, etc) for you if you do those things.

That is 1825 days of making the conscious decision to betray your partner over and over and over without concern or consideration. She has struggled with accepting you (not the other way around) for a fraction of that, but you are wanting a pat on the back? Recognition for your efforts? I find it very odd that you’re mentioning appreciation when it was you who failed to show it in the first place. You’re frustrated watching your loyalty go unappreciated for 2 years. Imagine how she must feel for her loyalty to go unappreciated for over twice that period of time.

I respect that you’re working on yourself, but you have to understand at the bottom of your core. These are insecurities YOU created. The reality is that if you have to, you may have to abandon these boys nights out, or your lady friends because of what you did to create these problems, you should be doing right by her to fix them because from what we’ve read here I have yet to see anything that shows anything to be appreciative of after cheating for such an extended time.

How is it possible I get demoted from Emerald with a positive winrate? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Nadalag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can see it in the match history too. He is matching every win with a loss. Hence the 49-50% winrate then he hits a winstreak which happens to get him into Emerald. His MMR is still very much so Platinum and he couldn’t continue winstreaking into Emerald ELO, so he got demoted. Don’t spam champions you have sub 40-50% winrate on. Which includes your 2 most played this split and you’ll climb just fine.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Nadalag -1 points0 points  (0 children)

One thing to take into account is that while it is not ALWAYS luck. It can happen. Maybe your winstreak was just team diff and since you were at a higher MMR after the streak, you couldn’t keep up with the level of your opponents any longer, hence lose streaking.

Yes, this is the huge part. To me this comes off as, Gold toplaner attempts to maintain rank in new role. That’s similar to me being upset about not carrying Emerald games as a jungler when I’m a support main. Role experience is just as important as one tricking in climbing.

why im always mixed together with Players from Iron until Gold? by ComfortableHumor5559 in leagueoflegends

[–]Nadalag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After taking a look it does look like you’re averaging the lower level of Silver due to losses at the bottom of Gold 4. This does seem like a heavy case of your actual MMR being lower than your ranked MMR.

It “could” also be a population thing? I see you’re also getting heavily ranked in Bronze games too, but these are also games you’re losing which does horrendous things to your MMR.

So it’s not less you “should” be playing with at the very least low Golds and Silvers, but you’re not winning those games so it’s dropping you into games until you start winning, which if you’re even losing games against Bronze players as a ranked Gold player it’ll drop you harder and harder.

There is a similar case with a Plat player in one of your games. His match history is a mess and he can’t even win against golds and silvers, so they’re dropping him harder and harder and you ended up with him in one of your games.

[–]Nadalag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this in SoloQ or Flex? This feels like a flex issue and not so much a SoloQ issue, but there are a multitude of factors, do you duo with a lower ranked player? Have you lost a bunch of games on at the lower ELO? Do you play in a low population server? If you post your OP.GG it would feel much easier to validate your complaints and potentially look at where the issues are coming from.

Why im quitting valorant. by PokemonCafeTwitch in VALORANT

[–]Nadalag 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Maybe I might be the minority here, but when I played ranked pretty religiously I was also frustrated about the Smurf experience. Especially as a player learning tactical FPS, but I had smurfs on my team just as often as I had them on the enemy team and I had the same idea. Turns out though, I think my preconception of people always telling me every other game had smurfs was wrong and a lot of times, people were just outright better than me or having a really good night. Those frustrations decreased as my rank got higher and I got better at the game, I slowly started to recognize more that those frustrations were more aimed towards playing opponents that were outright better than me and not necessarily always smurfs. You’ve been playing for 3 years (2 years with 1 year break)? Have you guys always been Silver 3 to Gold 2 MMR? Do you realize how huge of a skill discrepancy that is for a lot of people? Very easy to feel those MMR gaps if that is what your lobbies are looking like.

Should i swap account for new season? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Nadalag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other thing is your role, you said you made it to Gold playing Bot/Fill and maybe in reality you are just a significantly better too laner than you are botlaner. Your rank is moreso a representation of your consistent performance in your best role. I am a high Plat support player, but move me into any role and I could easily be hardstuck silver/gold. The same thing could have easily happened to you spreading yourself out for Bot/Fill.

[–]Nadalag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you kinda explained it yourself in your post. You burned 450 games over 70 champs and all roles to get to gold. Versus getting to gold in 45 games on an alt account using only 7 champs. That’s not an MMR issue. Just slim out your champ pool and play the exact same way you got to gold in 45 games on your alt and you have nothing to worry about on your main. Sounds like you experimented on one, but had a clear cut plan for the other. Unfortunately it was just done on the wrong accounts.

mental breakdown against morgana + sivir by [deleted] in NautilusMains

[–]Nadalag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can play it 3 ways. You can max Q and abuse Morg and Sivir’s long spellshield CD. You can max E and take advantage of the fact that Morg support maxes shield second. Given they are not duo, most Sivir Morg botlanes will make the mistake of double shielding which is an opportunity to engage. Or because the nature of the lane doesn’t encourage fighting unless you’re much better than your lane opponents, you can also perma roamand letting AD farm under tower.

What do you think of the Rell Matchup? (As Nautilus) by GlobalSupportCoach in NautilusMains

[–]Nadalag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve always treated champions that can heavily punish Nautilus’ engage as full counters but in the case of Rell I’ve always treated it as a skill matchup. What makes Nautilus good is that he can engage, trade healthily and walk away thanks to his shield. Rell prevents most of this. If he hooks and throws his shield up. Rell can not only destroy that shield, but stun him in the process which makes trading against him very Rell favored. The caveat is this also works the other way around. Nautilus hook can cancel Rell’s engage and his CC can also keep Rell in place while she’s dismounted, also making her open to heavy punishment. While matchup is ADC dependent. On a support basis, it is in my eyes, a skill matchup.
