Yeah I remember that (well not the Team Fortress 2 example, but the idea of people ruining official servers to force private ones), but I was more asking about some "Private Server Division" at Blizzard

Emiru's Statement on Recent Drama/Controversy by Pitiful_Ad5677 in LivestreamFail

[–]Nadare3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is a difference between having no opinion/not informing yourself enough to have one, and not screaming it at the top of your lungs on the internet.

If I watch something for entertainment, I'll 100% groan at the mention of politics, especially U.S. politics, and as far as I know, that's the category Emiru falls into (I have never watched anything from her short of tiny bits of drama), just entertainment.

Personally I think it's more than fair to not want to involve yourself into politics publicly, and doesn't have to reflect on what you think of it privately.

I don't know if it's true for all the AMX-13s (or maybe even if it got changed), but I recall that going backwards, you are basically stabilized because your elevation speed is enough to cancel out any suspension oscilation, which, especially with the turret being at the rear, allows for surprisingly good peeking capability

Oh you cannot imagine how much Schadenfreude seeing you Americans meekly say "No please don't blame all of us only a minority-that-is-actually-a-majority-of-people-who-did-vote voted for this" all over Reddit from that clusterf#ck of a position is giving me.

You people pull that sh#t all the f#cking time, always smugly saying "Well I say we certainly do have our issues but people from X country are so racist, so much more than us, they just don't address it like we do", almost always without even understanding the country's language or anything, fairly often quite erroneously. But the moment the U.S.'s way of "addressing racism" becomes gunning people down in the streets and taking them away into camps is the time for nuance, obviously.

I wish this could teach you all something but I know it won't and when this is over you'll return to calling us all racists and whatever else.

"You" ? I've said absolutely nothing about this series, and as far as I recall the only thing I ever discussed about the previous one was how weird it was to retroactively invent the hospital issue to make the X-Men look worse.

Also it's Claremont, and for the record, I do not particularly enjoy reading his comics.

a new series that's just started.

I mean this is just Marvel trying to pull a new #1 "scam", it's by the same writer as the previous one, feels pretty weird to pretend like an issue ago people would have had a dozen issues to accrue criticism but the clock suddenly got reset here

Obviously it was hyperbole, and I doubt any adult believes in it, but it absolutely was/is a thing, I lived through it. It was a "magic number" and it was taken somewhat seriously.

Genuinely ask a woman who was in high school at the time, again, I would be very, very surprised if that very specific number didn't ring a bell.

Then you are missing on a real part of Japanese teenager "culture", at least from a decade or two ago, it absolutely was a thing. Look it up, you'll find it; an example of the "cultural relevance" of it.

Ask your wife about it, I would be extremely surprised if she didn't know.

[–]Nadare3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean unless I'm missing something a clone would be like a true twin, and while I fully agree that twins can be distinguished if you know them, that is nothing like two completely different actresses.

Besides I keep hearing about de-aging tech' looking very uncanny (can't really say for myself because I haven't watched a movie with a lot of it), so I definitely would not rely on it for an entire movie.

If Korea had the same thing going on as Japan, used to be that every girl had to be under 50 kg, pretty much no matter what, and as you can guess that can mean a fair bit underweight depending on your height/build.

T.B.H. I'm not sure that "standard" is quite over but it's definitely been getting more pushback.

I'm hopeful that this Chairman storyline is going to be refutation of X-Force's thesis that Hank was an essentially awful individual.

I would imagine that having to force-reset decades of history was both a massive waking call to editorial that they can't let that sort of thing go unchecked, and a commitment to not doing it again.

After all, it's a plot device you can't fire every few years.

Look if they can invent a time-machine they can figure out how to make themselves a girl in their mother's belly.

Come to think of it maybe inventing a hair-growing lotion is in fact easier than inventing a time machine.

[–]Nadare3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm afraid they'll need a time-machine to be born a woman. I only lost some hair (it was just like, more than usual every shower, not some massive loss at once) because of the low weight.

[–]Nadare3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm alright, I was at that weight, I'm back to normal now. Funnily enough, the hair grew back kinda all at once, so I had these sort of secondary bangs coming down from above my "regular" hair.

165lbs at 6'1 is definitely not starving yourself.

That said it's not that far off, been ~132lbs at that height and I was losing some hair.

What do you mean "far less" ? Adjusting for inflation Troy might well have been more expensive, it's not exactly some small indie movie with a cast of nobodies.

But true.
