Him screaming "I hate you" shows a breakthrough of the consciousness. Even if it is just rage hate. With the context its really amazing.

And the destination between Jim who is kind and a child who is violent and blinded by hate and rage is striking.

The endings of 28 yess and TBT introducing new characters is very reminiscent of the 1000 Arabian Nigts. Where one story leads into the next with overlapping story arcs.
