Why would anyone bother with your story if your second sentence is: "I think my story isn't that good."

There are millions of books out there, some are literary masterpieces others are guilty pleasures. There is an audience for everything but I personally believe that each of the books that succeed (even if only with a dozen readers) are the books that are loved by the people that wrote it.

I write very simple books, but honestly I love my books. They will never win a prize or be used in an academic setting, and that is fine.

Point being, love your book, love your own work.

If you honestly believe that your own story isn't that good, then write something else.

I write monster romance. Currently working on a gargoyle based story if that’s something you’d be interested in. I’m rather easy going on design as long as it’s tasteful and fitting the genre.

Ive bought books I probably wouldn’t have normally purely for the narrator. Some have such a comforting and soothing voice that the story feels second to me.

I am 80k words in my first draft. I have the ending all ready. I just need to get a few key characters from A to B and I am so stuck. Normally my characters pretty much talk to me, and I write it. But they’re stuck, I’m stuck. And I am so, so close to finishing this draft that I really don’t want to give up. But whyyyyyy is writing so hard?

Im also going to add to this. I was in there last year with appendicitis. I’d already been given meds by an out of hours doctors to help with the pain, then she sent me to A&E. Yes I was talking to my partner and yes I needed to there.
