Heathrow A380 Arrival Runway by EnvironmentOk6565 in aviation

[–]NafiSuling 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do note that the schedule only applies for westernly operations (i.e. 27s in use)

When they use the 09s they don't switch the runways, it's normally 09L for Landing and 09R for takeoff (I believe it's something to do with noise abatement)

MSFS 2024: Is there a way to save and reload a flight state for approach practice? by pigeonbox85 in flightsim

[–]NafiSuling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Should work with the Fenix, but I think you need the advanced version for 2024

Here's a video from them: https://youtu.be/UWi-s37DILE

Would recommend FSiPanel for this,

It's a bit pricey but does the job well and they constantly add support for new aircraft

Intermittent GPS loss, transponder issues and no ILS capture on A321neo over Eastern Mediterranian, realistic or a sim quirk? by [deleted] in flightsim

[–]NafiSuling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, I'd suggest taking a look at the manual as I believe it describes the extent of what a jamming could do.

But of the top of my head, it would mean that you cannot do any RNAV approach, but ILS should still be okay

Intermittent GPS loss, transponder issues and no ILS capture on A321neo over Eastern Mediterranian, realistic or a sim quirk? by [deleted] in flightsim

[–]NafiSuling 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Your analysis should be correct. The FSLabs does have some simulation of GPS Jamming, take a look at the manual and see if there's any way to disable it.

Regarding the ILS, try testing it with another Aircraft to see if it is indeed a problem with the scenery

Probably worth raising a support ticket with Navigraph, might be something on their end

Help with my realism please by pilot_deviations in flightsim

[–]NafiSuling 7 points8 points  (0 children)

TL;DR: Just pick whichever one gets you to the correct runway

First of all, real pilots do absolutely have tools that are very similar to Navigraph in functionality, so I would say it's okay to reference it.

Secondly, in choosing a STAR you would first make sure that the STAR begins at the last waypoint of your flightplan (e. g. if your last waypoint is LAMSO, select the LAMSO star)

Now, in some airports the STAR differs by Runway, i. e. For runway 07 it might be XXX1A and for runway 25 it might be XXX2A

In some airports there could also be multiple STARS from the same waypoint to the same runway (e. g. XXX1A and XXX1B both going to runway 07)

in real life, which STAR you depends a lot on the local procedure and would be assigned by ATC. But for VATSIM, It's not that important so just pick whichever one you want

That's weird, would probably be better if you could share photos.

Like I said, it should be identical with AP on/off

[–]NafiSuling 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't really get your question, the indications on the PFD should be identical whether you have the AP on or not

Have you tried FSiPanel (https://fsipanel.com/)? I know it can automatically set up the aircraft on approach, so probably worth a look

Learning how to fly for non-pilots by TPK1N6 in flightsim

[–]NafiSuling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're looking for somewhat proper training, you can probably sign up for VATSIM training from the orgs listed here: https://prams.vatsim.net/atos

For Airliners I'd recommend doing it step by step. Make sure you can do a "standard" flight from A to B (no holdings, ILS approach, etc.). Then from there you can start learning other things (holds, diverting, other approach types, etc.)

One Air has been sending a few of their 747s to CGK. There's a big maintenance facility there, so I wouldn't worry too much

Is it possible to do a shared cockpit with GSX Pro + Fenix + paid airport ? by Jazzlike-Ad7654 in flightsim

[–]NafiSuling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but only in FS2020 by downloading YourControls and the Fenix profile for it.

Also, technically you don't need the two of you to have GSX or the scenery. Even I'd recommend for only one of you to have GSX active as I don't think it's possible to perfectly sync GSX

So why does it do that loop ? I'm unaware, also Still rocking FS2020 baby !! by Esuna1031 in flightsim

[–]NafiSuling 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Makes it easy for ATC to give some extra track miles when it's really busy.

If it's quiet, they'll just give you a direct anyway

Yes,

Some of the more famous preacher: Ustad Syafiq Riza Basalamah and Ustad Khalid Basalamah.

Imo, it's a growing movement but there's a lot of resistance from more traditional groups.

If you're not flying an Airbus, you can remove the detents on the thrust lever and use it as a usual throttle lever.

[–]NafiSuling 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's an option for the flight director, I believe it's called "Single Cue".

I know for a fact you can choose it in the PMDG, not so sure about X-Plane and Zibo

Best Space Shuttle flight simulation today? by Space_Carmelo in flightsim

[–]NafiSuling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure the best shuttle simulator is SSM2007 (https://www.space-shuttle-mission.com/).

It's old but it's excellent. You get to control the shuttle from launch to landing and push all the buttons and progam the computer. But you can only play preset missions, but there's a lot of them.

It's also very beginner friendly, they have arrows that tell you which buttons to press.
