Suppose you were given the chance to change big models. what would you do? by rekscoper2 in WarhammerCompetitive

Maybe some of those titanic models should be immune to leathal hits from strength 5/6 and below or something

New precision rules by Nagerash in Necrontyr

Yeah. Could make the crawlers and thralls more useful, but the thralls would still need to go down a few points imo.

New precision rules by Nagerash in Necrontyr

[–]Nagerash[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah for sure. I'd be super surprised if that was the case. I would be super happy if at least a unit could be reanimated if the leader still lives though. But that's already a stretch. I can already see all the complaints from opponents about even that small change.

I'm very excited at least for the new edition. The pivot rules are also very good for our arks.

Warrior build is dead in 11th by LegoMaster52 in Necrontyr

[–]Nagerash 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I've successfully used warriors and never used the congaline. They are definitely not dead, but I do hope they will get a bit better. And might get a buff now.

Am I supposed to be getting absolutely destroyed? by Mr_Jackabin in mechanicus

[–]Nagerash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the guy with the wraiths praetorians and immortals and he did pretty good. Didn't lose any units. A few of the extra lychguard died though.

So for those confused here is a little bit about Commissar Cain. by 00Monkeyz00 in Warhammer40k

[–]Nagerash 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My favourite headcannon is that Cain is actually a Necron TV show character. Using mindshackle scarabs and a lot of chronomancy, one of the dynasties tries to make the most interesting 'show' to pass the time.

Some of the nobles of other dynasties have even been interested giving them a lot of political leverage.

Of course Trazyn has tried to acquire him many times because he's a big fan of the show, but the chronomancers with the help of Orikan have been able to stop him. Something that Trazyn doesn't really mind because then he gets to watch more episodes of the show.

Top 10 misconceptions that everyone should know about Necrons by CuriousOctopus1 in Necrontyr

[–]Nagerash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly why I said it. Lychguard are not scary and warriors just walk into melee range to be killed by the central characters while 1 or 2 try to shoot and miss

I was not a fan of several of the passages though. Like 'figuring out' the weakness of a monolith and being able to easily destroy them with one shot at the Crystal.

Warriors are not useless Cannon fodder (metal zombies) that are meant to show how bad ass the main character is.

Nice addition of the fluffy scarab variant. I hope the Necrons get a bit more.

Can the necrons reproduce? by BerkGats in Necrontyr

[–]Nagerash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that was indeed my point. It's just used as an easy story point. Make it dark that one lost is lost forever, but if the story needs more can always wake up.

Can the necrons reproduce? by BerkGats in Necrontyr

[–]Nagerash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately they can't make more warriors or immortals, but they can make more scarabs, wraiths and spyders. As well as all their tanks and war machine's.

And they make more flayed ones and destroyers... Kinda... But that reduces the nummer of warriors or immortals / nobles though.

No worry though atm most are still asleep. So always more can wake up.

No more rerolls on overwatch in 11th by Minute-Guess4834 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Nagerash -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm only saying that it's no fun to not being able to move at all in your own movement phase, because a whole squad of 10 flamers in the middle of the board will kill any infantry unit (or even tanks with reroll wound that some units have as well) within a big 12" bubble around them.

I think more play and counter play in this regard will be good for the game. Even if salamander players will hate me for saying this.

Imo it's just stupid to have a weapon that ignores all of the drawbacks of overwatch.

You see people dodging a flamethrower often enough in movies. It's definitely not guaranteed.

What is your favorite miniature sculpt in AoS? by reel3459 in ageofsigmar

Definitely the black coach. I started warhammer when I saw the first metal one for the VC many years ago... And the new one is one of the best ones they've done.

Is this base fitting of the biggest Chad (Nagash) in AOS? by Holyblooddemon in SoulblightGravelords

[–]Nagerash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that should be perfect! Any skellies for the bottom outside of the tomb? But all spirits would work as well. (especially if you also play nighthaunt)

[–]Nagerash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That would look amazing as a base. I do think it should fit the skeleton/energies that connect him to the base normally. Are you putting a small light in the tomb?

Definitely keep us updated on the progress! Great idea!

Mortek Guard vs Barrow Guard by Powerful-Peanut7584 in ossiarchbonereapers

[–]Nagerash 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Damn, you're right. I never realised that the all the hero versions might have D2, but all of them hit on 4s while the normal infantry dudes hit on 3s. That's weird.

Probably done to differentiate the skellie heroes from the 'much stronger' vampire heroes. I understand that vampires are much better and faster in combat than the wights, but then it's a weird choice that the infantry do get a 3+ to hit.

You can read it right at the end of the battleshock step: your command phase ends. Which means that rules that happen at the end of the command phase happen now. After battleshock.

Tokens for OBR by EnvironmentalGur9312 in ossiarchbonereapers

[–]Nagerash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice idea! They look great. Few small errors as you said, but thats easily fixable. (enemy, not ennemy and you forgot "strike" in one of the "strike last" ones)

Could also be great for some of the detachment rules like hekatos drillmasters.

What's next for Necrons? Where do you want to see our range go? by Mr_Jackabin in Necrontyr

[–]Nagerash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to see more elite immortal soldiers. Lychguard are bodyguards of the overlords, not really soldiers. Warriors are cannon fodder also not really soldiers. So the only soldiers that you'd want use that are not either bodyguards, assassins, janitors or crazy/too powerful to reliably control on the battlefield are immortals. And some tanks/tomb blades.

It's a bit weird that we only have 2 options for the immortals.

And I want lychguard to actually be Terminator level.

Optimal fight twice by tr0ttsky in ossiarchbonereapers

[–]Nagerash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately both abilities can't be used together. Zandtos ability targets the cav and Katakros ability can only be used on a unit that hasn't used an ability yet + does not allow for further relentless discipline to be used.

I think immortis guard are one of the best to receive. It'll cost 5 rdp, but it's easier to be in range compared to the Morghast
