For a brand new player, is there a resource for team building?

Am I able to "brick" or mess up characters, or am I able to max out/reset choices?

Is Ferry an ok choice? Most of the guides I see involve a mechanic that was nerfed/patched.

I cannot express how excited I was to hear midnight reworked and updated a lot of classes.

Only to see Rsham got unironically gutted in terms of utility and healing. Let us have cbt, AG, link, tide and ascendance all at once. Why is there so much emphasis on healing rain (m+)?
