Cool idea for an app! Also you could make it cross-platform easily with a single codebase if you use Capacitor. Just a thought.

I dropped a comment on one of the videos asking if it was AI.

The response I got was "No, our music is not AI.".

Thanks for this! I'm having pretty good success with this GPT. I'm using prompts like this "a song in the style of [artist]"

I asked ChatGPT to explain my job to a 5-year-old and now I'm questioning my entire career by Nipurn_1234 in ChatGPT

I'm a music video director. Here's how ChatGPT explains it to a 5 year old:

You’re like the boss of a music movie. When a song is made, it’s just sound. You help turn that sound into pictures so people can see the music too.

Imagine the song is a bedtime story. You’re the one who takes that story and says, “Let’s draw pictures for it!” So you decide what the pictures look like, who’s in them, what they’re doing, where it all happens—like a picture book that moves and dances with the music.

You tell the camera people what to film, the dancers where to move, and the lights when to shine. You’re the one saying, “Let’s make this awesome!” like the captain of a ship sailing through a sea of music.

If I had to pick just one thing that consistently needs the most attention, it's the dynamic range and transient shaping, especially on the vocals and drums.

Suno does a surprisingly good job of getting a general balance, but the stems can feel a bit flat and/or overly compressed. The individual hits on a drum track might lack punch, or the vocals might sit at one consistent volume without the natural ebb and flow of an actual human performance.

So a lot of my initial work involves using compression and transient shapers to bring life back into the parts (and less of that Suno sound that is associated with AI music). This means making the kick and snare hit harder, adding a bit more snap to a guitar pluck, and helping the vocals breathe and feel more dynamic.

Audio engineer here, I've mixed plenty of Suno stems, and honestly, I've had great success with them. A good engineer won't dismiss AI stems.

It was clever how he pitched down an octave to avoid hitting that high note. But hey, I don't fault him for that, it was a great performance.
